World of Tanks "reduced tank armor calculator". World of Tanks "reduced tank armor calculator" Armor penetration calculator

Many novice tankers and even already pros very often look for an armor calculator for World of Tanks 0.9.14. After all, everyone wants to penetrate any tanks, but it’s not always possible to remember their weak spots. Of course, penetration zones can help us with this, but not all tankers want to put extra images on their tanks, especially in bright colors; vulnerable zones are often designated that way.

The standard penetration marker, when pointed at an area where the tank's armor is thin, always lights up green, and green is the color of confident penetration. But at the same time, it does not take into account the screens and the given armor. That is, if the enemy becomes a diamond or his vulnerable zone is at some angle, all this affects the angle of entry of the projectile into the tank, and even if the marker is green, your projectile may not penetrate the armor or ricochet off it. Thus, all these disadvantages make the standard penetration marker practically useless.

Therefore, the usefulness of the tank armor calculator is difficult to overestimate. After all, having installed it, you will no longer need to shoot at random and think about whether you will hit the target or not. Thanks to this mod, you will know in advance whether your projectile will be able to penetrate the enemy’s armor in the place where you are aiming. On the Internet there are a lot of options for various armor calculators, but only a few are really worth it and they are included either in a mod pack or in some kind of complex mod.

For example, the well-known hodgepodge of mods P-mod has the best armor penetration calculator, but in addition it also includes a lot of other mods that not everyone wants to install. Until now, there was no other alternative to this calculator, but starting today, thanks to the WoTsite.net modding team, you have such an opportunity!

We are proud to present to you the reduced tank armor calculator mod for WOT 0.9.14 (no Pmod), which has exactly the same functionality as its counterpart in P-mod, but unlike it, you can install our mod separately. Having installed it, your sight will begin to take into account not only the thickness of the armor in the aimed location, but also the angle of entry of the projectile into this location, while the calculation of the thickness of the armor will be as accurate as possible.

The first three screenshots show a sight that already has an armor calculator built into it, in this case the mod uses it and transfers the data there. If your sight does not display the thickness of the armor and penetration of your projectile, by installing our reduced armor calculator, a field will be automatically added to it to display this information (the next 3 screenshots). The mod has a very flexible settings file in which you can change literally everything, from its location to changing the text color, font and even the amount of information displayed.

Installation:

Copy the scripts and gui folder to WOT/res_mods/0.9.14/, confirming the replacement.

The mod settings file is located here: \World_of_Tanks\res_mods\0.9.14\scripts\client\gui\mods\mod_reducedArmor.json, it is recommended to open it using NotePad++.

If your sight already displays an armor calculator and you do not need an additional field to display this information, you can disable it by changing this line as follows: "custom_flash": false. By default it is set to true.

Many beginners starting to play the World of Tanks 0.9.15.0.1 project, as well as experienced players, often wonder about the armor calculator. Everyone wants to penetrate enemy tanks, but not everyone can remember the weak points of each of them. The so-called . But not all players want to leave unnecessary images on their tanks, especially in bright colors. Most often, vulnerable zones are designated in this way.

In the case of a standard penetration marker, when pointed at the area of the tank's hull where its armor is thinnest, a green glow appears, which, as is known, is a symbol of confident penetration. However, the standard marker does not take into account the given armor at all, as well as screens. This means that if the opposing tank is a diamond, or its most vulnerable area is located at a certain angle to the shooter, this has a serious impact on the angle of impact of the projectile. Therefore, even if the marker is green, the projectile may not penetrate the enemy’s armor or may simply ricochet off it. All the described shortcomings turn a standard penetration marker into an almost useless toy accessory.

In this case, it is difficult to overestimate the effectiveness of the armor calculator. After installing it, you will no longer need to shoot at random and guess whether it is possible to penetrate a given target or not. This mod allows you to find out in advance whether a particular projectile is capable of penetrating the armor of an enemy tank in the area where the sight is aimed. There are a huge number of different armor calculators on the global network. But there are only a few that are really worth attention. Moreover, they are part of some complex mod or mod pack.

For example, the well-known hodgepodge of mods called P-mod has the most effective and realistic armor penetration calculator. However, it comes with many other mods that not everyone wants to install. Until recently, there was practically no real alternative to the mentioned calculator. However, thanks to the efforts of the modding team of the WoTsite.net resource, players now have a similar opportunity.

You can demonstrate to mod players a reduced tank armor calculator for the WOT 0.9.15.0.1 application, which has similar functionality to the analogue from the P-mod package. However, unlike the latter, it is possible to install this mod yourself. After installation, the tank's sight will begin to take into account not only the thickness of the enemy's armor at the sighting location, but also the angle of entry of the fired projectile in this area. Moreover, the armor thickness is calculated as accurately as possible.

The first three screenshots show the sight with the armor calculator already installed. In such a situation, the mod applies it and transmits the information there. If the tank's sight does not demonstrate the thickness of the armor and the penetration of the fired projectile, after installing the presented armor calculator, a field automatically appears in which the specified information is displayed. This is shown in the next three screenshots. The mod has an extremely flexible configuration file. It allows you to change almost all parameters, from location to the tone of display of text messages, font and volume of displayed data.

Mod installation features:

You should copy the folder called scripts to the folder with the game WOT/res_mods/0.9.15.0.1/, and after the system question, you should confirm the replacement.

The mod configuration file is located in \World_of_Tanks\res_mods\0.9.15.0.1\scripts\client\gui\mods\mod_reducedArmor.json. It is best to open it using NotePad++.

If the player already has an armor calculator in his sight and does not need additional space to display this data, it can be deactivated. To do this, change the mentioned line in the following way: "custom_flash": false. After all, by default it is set to True.

Armor Inspector is a mobile application for the game World of Tanks, including versions for PC and Blitz. The application is available online, on mobile platforms and on the computer.

Armor Inspector shows armor models (World of Tanks collage models), module and crew locations on many tanks, including the location of ammunition racks, fuel tanks, and engines. The application has a penetration calculator that helps you understand how and why you can penetrate an enemy tank.

There are also other functions besides the penetration calculator and module placement. In the application you can view the appearance of tanks with textures, full performance characteristics, calculate and show damage from land mines, damage from ramming, etc. With Armor Inspector you can compare several WoT tanks and clearly see the differences in armor and performance characteristics.

how to use armor inspector

In the menu on the left you can select the operating mode of the application.

X-ray shows WoT armor models (collision models), the location of WoT modules and the appearance of tanks. Here you can also find out the thickness and type of each armor group.

The duel helps to understand the mechanics of breaking through WoT. Here you first need to select the tank that is shooting, then the enemy tank, and the application will be able to calculate the result of the shot at any selected point. Armor Inspector shows all vulnerabilities interactively.

Ramming is necessary to estimate the damage that each tank will receive during the ramming.

Don't forget to set the game version in Settings: PC, Blitz or Console.

You can get more information about usage by visiting.

it's free?

Basic functions can be used for free. The application is developed by two WoT players for WoT players. We do not receive any form of support from Wargaming, and we search and extract information from all versions of the game ourselves. It requires a lot of effort and time, and hosting this website and being able to download HD content and textures costs us money, which we pay out of pocket.

X-rays are available to everyone free of charge. High level tanks are blocked in the Duel. Ram mode is available for free only for one nation.

If you like the app, please visit. With your support, we will be able to update data for the application and work on new cool things.

To successfully “tank” heavy tanks and well-armored medium tanks, you need to position your combat vehicle at the correct angle to the enemy’s shot. If the angle between the armor and the projectile's trajectory is large enough, then the projectile will not penetrate the armor or will ricochet. The armor calculator from the famous modder MeltyMap will help you make the most of your armor in World of Tanks battles.

World of Tanks has the concept of “reduced armor” - the final thickness of the armor, taking into account the angle at which it is located. The larger the angle, the thicker the armor given, the higher the chance of a rebound or non-penetration. The thickness of the given armor can be significantly greater than the nominal thickness of the armor plate. Theoretically, the value of the given armor can be calculated using a simple mathematical formula, but it is clear that this cannot be done for each individual shot in battle. This problem is solved by a mod for your armor calculator from MeltyMap, which has already proven itself to be high-quality and useful mods for Word of Tanks.

The mod works as follows. In battle, a small blue bar with numbers is displayed above the shells and equipment panel. The numbers show the armor of the upper frontal armor plate and sides of the tank. The turret and lower armor plate are not taken into account. On the one hand, this is not convenient, on the other hand, the mod is not overloaded with information, because otherwise you would have to make a triple strip of the calculator.

The direction of the enemy's barrel is taken to be the direction of your cursor - the center of the field of view. To see what reduced armor your tank will have in the direction of the enemy's shot, just move the cursor over the enemy. If the value of the given armor turns out to be not too high or even equal to the nominal armor, then it makes sense to turn your tank around, otherwise there is a risk of getting penetration with damage. You can also see how the mod works in the video.

Installing the mod:

Installation is performed in the usual way for most mods:

  • Download the mod, unpack the archive
  • Copy the contents of the archive - the gui folder - to the res_mods\game-version folder

If for some reason the mod does not work for you, then you have the standard version of P-MoD (there should be no problems with the extended version). Then enable the armor penetration calculator directly in P-mod itself in the modsconfigspmodmod_pmod.json file.

  • // true — enable the module. (only sending data to the sight file)
  • // true - enable the module. (only sending data to a sight file)
  • "enable": true,
  • // Use your own flash to output data.
  • // Use own flash for data output.

Updated 03/20/2018:

  • Bugs fixed and code rewritten;
  • the structure of the mod has changed;
  • Added a kernel for mods (it won't work without it).

We present to your attention a special mod designed specifically for heavy tanks in World of Tanks - a custom armor calculator.

The technique of “diamond tanking” is widely known, when a heavy tank under fire turns around so that the armor is located at an angle to the trajectory of the shells. This allows you to increase the thickness of the armor and repel or accept without damage projectiles that would otherwise easily penetrate your tank.

In the standard client, you have to rely on experience and intuition to tank correctly. The custom armor calculator mod from MeltyMap helps make tanking as effective as possible. It works like this: depending on the direction of your field of view and the position of the center of the screen, a blue indicator above the projectile panel shows the thickness of the armor. The value is calculated based on the angle between the side or forehead of the body and the direction of your camera (the position of the center of the screen). The mod does not take into account screens, hatches and other armor features, and also does not show the turret armor in any way.

To properly tank using your armor calculator, you need to point the central marker at the selected enemy and turn the hull of your combat vehicle so that all numbers are maximum. This works best when tanking in a reverse diamond from behind cover or a building on the city map.

The mod is also useful in sniper mode - it gives you the ability to control the position of the tank without switching to arcade mode and helps to avoid damage if accidentally detected.

How to install your armor calculator for World of Tanks 0.9.16

  • Download and unpack the archive with the mod
  • Copy the gui and scripts folders from the archive to res_mods.9.16 - the mod is installed

If for some reason the mod does not work for you, then you have the standard version of P-MoD (there should be no problems with the extended version). Then enable the armor penetration calculator directly in P-mod itself in the modsconfigspmodmod_pmod.json file.
