Twitter on Android: Top 10 Mobile Apps

Twitter is one of the largest social networks, second in popularity only to the all-encompassing Facebook pages. Hundreds of millions of users turn to its services every day to get the latest news bulletin while watching hot trends along the way.

If visiting Twitter is part of your daily information diet, we recommend that you pay attention to the 10 best applications that will help you use the service.

Carbon

By choosing Carbon, you get a well-implemented Twitter client with a lot of features and a recognizable dark color theme. It works with pictures, videos and GIFs, and the Do Not Disturb mode helps you stay alone with your thoughts for a while. Carbon also gives you multi-account support, instant navigation between categories (tweets, mentions, etc.), wrapping it all in a stylish design. The program is also absolutely free.

Fenix

Fenix appeared in the Google Play Store relatively recently. It is interesting, first of all, with a decent set of features and a great interface based on Material Design. All the standard features are in place: work with multiple accounts, real-time updates, "stub" hated users and conversations. Fenix treats its users with care and allows you to choose themes (light, almost dark and really dark) according to your mood.

Plume

Plume was one of the first really good clients for Twitter on Android. It has been getting massive updates over the past few years, and most recently got a great looking interface built on Material Design. You will not find anything non-standard in the functionality, except for the support of the bit.ly service, which shortens the URL.

At its core, Tinfoil is not an example of a "classic" Twitter client. A more accurate definition for it would be “wrapper” - a program that opens the mobile version of the site and allows you to be in it without launching the browser. The benefit of this approach is that you don't have to fight off annoying permissions while you keep checking out current events and friends' news. But don't forget that Twitter's mobile website will be noticeably slower than any app.

Twidere, a mobile market newcomer, can be described in three capacious words: security, airiness, simplicity. The notorious Material Design is directly responsible for the last two, and the richness of the client's options is not limited to expanding the number of characters in a tweet (special thanks to t.co). The wide configuration options, security and, of course, the "open source" nature of Twidere make it truly unique.

Twitter

It would be a crime to leave out the official Twitter app. It does not go beyond what is permitted, and does only what was programmed by the creators: all native functions are in their place, among them was one of the latest features - "Moments". Users who are not permanent residents of social networks and are new to the features of the platform will be happy to find an intelligible interface here.
