There was a problem during the driver installation. Drivers are not installed when the device is connected to a PC: INF file error

Have a nice time of the day everyone! In this article we will continue the topic of disabling digital signature of drivers Windows 10. And the thing is that the other day the author of the article tried to flash it in a new way on the Android system.

So, when this device was connected to a computer and a special USB driver was installed, again I had to suffer for a long time with the decision of the issue of its signature. And, by the way, it did not help in this situation.

And often people do not even understand what exactly is the cause of such an error. Why there was a problem during the installation of the software and what is this file hash, as well as where it went.

But there is no need to be afraid, there is a solution to this problem and, as it turned out, it is completely simple. First you need to click on the notification icon in the system tray and select the "All parameters" item in the menu that opens:

Then follow the "Restore-Reboot Now" path:

At the next step, select the "Diagnostics" item:

Next comes the "Advanced Options":

And now, finally, we got to the "Boot Options" section:

We select it and in the window that opens, click the "Restart" button below:

After that, the computer will start to restart and, at the end of this process, it will please us with this menu, where you can disable the mandatory verification of the Windows 10 driver signature:

To do this, it remains only to press the F7 key. The author of the article has a laptop, so a combination of two buttons was applicable: Fn + F7. That's all, friends, now you can safely install unknown drivers into the system.

This concludes the publication, if you have any questions, ask them in the comments. And finally, well, a very interesting and informative video.

Since the release of the new version of Windows 10, users began to receive messages that the system periodically issues driver errors. However, a warning code may appear during installation or operating system updates.

All users are familiar with the situation when the system asks to restart the computer to install updates. Often, after rebooting, the system displays the message "Windows 10 driver error", or "could not complete the update." In such cases, it is advisable to check which programs could not be installed (or updated). To do this, you need to do the following:

  1. Go to "Notification Center".
  2. Then in "All settings".
  3. In the list that appears, select Update and Security.
  4. Then go to "Update centre".
  5. And open "Update log".

This tab will display a list of all drivers that need to be installed or updated. The message "Failed to install" will be present in front of those programs that the system was unable to update. There are many reasons for the errors. And for each driver package, they are individual.

Error installing Nvidia Windows 10 driver

A message about a problem with installing (updating) video card programs appears for various reasons. The most common of them are virus infection, problems with the hard drive, conflict with the drivers of the motherboard or sound card. To fix the Nvidia error, you need to uninstall old programs and install new versions. It is recommended to use the DriverSweeper utility to remove the old version. Then you need to restart your computer and install the new version of the program from the official website.

If, after a "clean" installation of the drivers, the system continues to display an error, you can try reinstalling them manually. It is quite simple to do this:

  1. Across Conductor uninstall the previous version of the program.
  2. Restart your PC.
  3. Next, go to "Device Manager" and in the list that appears, select "Video adapters".
  4. Then you need to select the item "Updating Drivers".
  5. Then we search for drivers on this PC (by selecting the appropriate item in the list).
  6. We select the folder into which the file should be unpacked, it is recommended to select C: \ NVIDIA and click "Further".
  7. Wait a few minutes for the program to install.
  8. Restart the PC again.

If the problem appeared after manual installation, you should check your hard drive and video card. Perhaps these components are badly damaged and require "treatment" or complete replacement.

If, after the update, the computer no longer sees the USB flash drive connected to it, you need to check it for serviceability. If it connects and opens without problems on another computer, and the operating system gives the error "device not recognized", you should follow these steps:

  1. Go to "Device Manager".
  2. Find "Other devices"(Controllers).
  3. Find in the list that appears "Flash drive", move the mouse cursor over it and right-click.
  4. Then you need to choose "Updating Drivers".

If these measures did not help, and the system does not recognize the external drive, you can roll back the driver, or completely remove it and then install it. In addition, if the error "Descriptor request failed" is displayed in the device manager opposite the flash drive, it is advisable to update or reinstall the USB controller drivers.

If the user encounters a video driver error (the message "The video driver stopped responding and was successfully reinstalled" appears), the program must be rolled back. This is done through the "Device Manager" tab.

Another simple solution to the AMD malfunctioning problem is to update the driver. This method can be used if no third-party utilities were used during the installation of the application.

Error loading drivers Alcohol Windows 10

Users who have switched to a new version of the operating system often face such a problem as an error loading the Alcohol 120 Windows 10 drivers. The OS issues this message if the driver SPTD was initially installed incorrectly (or the system does not see it at all). To fix the error you need:

  1. Remove the driver SPTD and the Alcohol 120 program from your device.
  2. After deleting, you must additionally clear the registry branch by deleting the last section in it called "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Services \ sptd".
  3. Next, you need to restart your PC.
  4. Download the new version of Alcohol from the official website. The driver SPTD will be installed automatically.

If the installation of the new version of the Alcohol 120 program failed, you need to check if the operating system is updated. It is advisable to update the OS to the most recent version.

After upgrading Windows 10, most users experience no sound or decreased sound intensity on their device. In most cases, this situation occurs due to a generic audio driver error. Before fixing the problem, you should run an automatic sound check:

  1. The mouse cursor should be placed over the speaker icon.
  2. Right-click and select from the list that appears Detect audio problems... The diagnostic wizard will automatically identify the cause of the problem and try to solve it on its own.

If the diagnostics have not yielded results, you need to check the status of the drivers. When determining the problem, we carry out a rollback or a complete reinstallation of the program. If the sound becomes quiet, the system settings will help fix the problem. It is necessary to go to the list of playback devices, and then to the properties of the sound equipment. Here you need to go to "Additional features" and disable all effects. Then you need to return to the list of devices, go to "Connection" and put a tick in front of the item "No action required".

If the keyboard stops working after updating the operating system, the problem can be corrected as follows:

  1. Analyze Windows 10 updates.
  2. If the keyboard drivers were updated incorrectly, you need to roll back or reinstall them.

If Windows 10 bluetooth driver error occurs (wireless keyboard not working), you need to check the driver status. To do this, go to "Task Manager" and check if there is a red or yellow icon opposite the programs. If such marks appear, you need to uninstall the programs and wait for the operating system to install them automatically. If this does not happen, you will have to reinstall them manually from the official site. It is also necessary to proceed if a Windows 10 mouse driver error occurs.

Philips shg8200 Windows 10 driver error

The system often generates an error if the headphones are connected via the USB connector. V "Device Manager" the corresponding icon also appears next to the program. To remedy the situation, you need to properly configure the system or try to reinstall the software to the most recent version.

User question

Hello!

I had to upload photos from my phone to my computer. I connected this device to a PC (the computer sees it), and even tries to install drivers, but to no avail. I tried to manually start the search for drivers through the device manager, writes that there are drivers, but cannot install, because: "Invalid service installation section in this INF file."

Help me please...

Good day!

Relatively recently, I restored the work of one laptop ... When the phone was connected to it, nothing happened at all: Windows 10 installed on it did not find drivers and did not automatically install them.

Moreover, the second OS Windows 7 - saw the phone in normal mode and it was possible to exchange files. It was clear that the matter was in the OS, and after a few minutes, a solution was found. I will share it here, I mean that this problem is quite popular ...

Solving the problem of installing "firewood" in steps

1) Is your device visible? Are the cables and ports working?

The first thing I recommend to start with is to decide: " but does your device see a laptop (computer)? "... It is possible that there is a problem with the cable or USB port, and when the phone is connected, it is simply "invisible", so the drivers are not installed.

How to determine this?

Very simple. Pay attention if battery charging appears when the device is connected to the USB port of the PC? If it appears, then most likely everything is in order with the USB cable and port. By the way, pay attention to whether a characteristic sound appears in Windows when the device is connected.

You can also connect other devices with this cable to the USB port, or connect your phone to another PC. In general, to determine whether the equipment itself is working ...

2) Check device manager - search for unknown hardware

And so, the ports seem to be working, the cable is also - the next step: to see if the equipment is displayed in the device manager.

To open the device manager:

  1. Press the button combination WIN + R;
  2. enter the command devmgmt.msc
  3. click OK.
  4. the method works in all modern versions of Windows (note: in Windows 10, by the way, to open the device manager, you can simply right-click on the START menu).

In Device Manager, expand the tab "Other devices" ... It is in it that all those devices that the computer (laptop) sees, but cannot install the driver should be displayed. The screenshot below shows just such a case: the phone is visible to the PC, but the Windows 10 driver cannot be installed in auto-mode ...

3) How to find and install the driver you need to install - an attempt at solution # 1

First, I recommend trying to find and install exactly the driver that is recommended for your hardware, based on its Id properties(each equipment has its own identification data, so you can search for drivers without even knowing the exact brand of the device).

To view the ID properties, right-click on the unknown device ( note: by the way, when you disconnect a device from the USB port, this unknown device should disappear from the other devices tab ), and go to its properties.

Then just paste the copied line into any search engine (Google, Yandex) and find a driver for your device. Next, run its installation and test its work (in many cases, and you won't have to do anything else).

More details about finding a driver for an unknown device -

4) Search and installation of the driver in Windows auto-mode - attempt # 2

Modern versions of Windows (8, 10) can automatically find and install drivers for many devices, and they do it very well.

To check if this works: go to device Manager then click right mouse button for the desired device (for example, for an unknown device), and in the pop-up context menu, select "Update drivers ..." .

In general, the method is pretty good and helps in many cases, but in mine it did not work, after a moment it was said that:

  • there was a problem installing the software for this unit
  • Third party MPT DEVICE INF does not contain signature information (see screenshot below).

5) Choosing a driver from those already installed is another solution to the problem

I will say one seditious thing: some are looking for a miracle driver to solve this problem, but there are no problems as such. The drivers they are looking for are already on their PC for a long time, there was simply an error in identifying the device and driver, and therefore the computer simply does not perceive them. You need to show him the way to them again, and everything will work ...

Therefore, if the previous steps did not help, I recommend opening device Manager (how to do it, see above in the article) , expand tab "Other devices" (it is in it that all devices for which there is no "firewood" are shown) , right-click on the desired device and select an option (as in the screenshot below).

In the next step, do not specify the folder with the drivers, but click on the link "Select a driver from the list of already installed drivers" (see screenshot below)

Voila! The drivers have been installed successfully. I go to the explorer - we see the phone, it is displayed in "This computer" , now you can upload files to it, and drop photos from it (the problem is solved).

Installed successfully!

Note: if instead of a message about successful installation, you see an error (for example, also related to the INF file), click the button "Back", and try to proceed with the installation again. It was this method that helped me ...

I'm finishing the article on this, good luck!

Problem installing drivers. When connecting a new USB device, an error is displayed: The software for the device has not been installed. Contact the manufacturer of this device for assistance in setting up the device.

When viewing the event log, we see an error:

When trying to install a driver through the device manager, an error occurs - access is denied. There was a problem installing the software for this unit. Windows found drivers for this device, but an error occurred while trying to install the drivers. Generic USB Hub - Access Denied.

Reinstalling the drivers fails, the process is interrupted by an error: You must have administrative rights to install this software. The installation will terminate. Installation takes place from the Administrator service account

Solution:

  • Check access rights (local security policy)
  • Update drivers for the latest motherboard and USB
  • Check if the installation is blocked by third-party software (antiviruses, etc.)
