It all started with what I needed to install Windows 7 as a second system.
Options with Parallel and VMW were not suitable, it was necessary for a separate load.

I will not describe what pitfalls met, I will go right away. The method is essentially two. And one of them is not suitable for everyone.

But first, we need to place a disk using the Bootcamp assistant. And on some models of poppies, it will not be possible to do this. The assistant will require the Windows installation disk. This costs as follows:

Now we have the opportunity to make a boot USB in the BootCamp assistant and place a disk without installation disks. At its discretion, highlight the place for the Windows section (the data will not disappear anywhere, but just in case you need to save it better to safe place)

Method 1.

This method is the easiest. However, not everyone is available. I will say right away that I could not successfully apply it to non-AIR Maks older than 2012. But you can try, if there is time. Or immediately go to the method 2, it always works.
For installation, we will use the Windows 7 USB USB USB flash drive. You can make it either on PC using Windows 7 USB DVD Tool or on MAC using the BootCamp assistant.

Now it remains to boot from the flash drive and install Windows as usual. If the usual bootloader does not see your USB flash drive, you can try alternative -. If it does not work with it (no bootable device errors or messages that the magician does not allow you to boot), then with this method it is worth saying goodbye and not lose more time.

Method 2.

So, for this method, we will use VMware Fusion (Enough the free version) and the ISO image of the Windows installation disk.

First of all, we need to make sure that the disc will not be used during our operations. To do this, I temporarily transferred the user folder from it (settings - users and groups - open the lock - right-click on the user - additional parameters - changing the field "User Folder" - reboot). I also installed VMWare to another disk. If there is no second disk, then you can use external - for example, a flash drive. ISO- image there. After all these preparations start installing.

First you need to open the disk utility, select the disk (entirely, not a separate section) and in info to see its number. In my case it is disk1.

We open the terminal and enter the team:

Within 10-15 min. From the Apple website, the necessary files will be copied and the "WindowsSupport" folder is created, in which the drivers are located. After completion, remove and pull out a flash drive from Mac, if it is with auto start, so that you download from DVD during the start of installation, and not USB.

5) In the next step, set the size of the partition, the volume of which depends on how many programs and games will be used. For example, if your tasks are limited to conventional office, then 25 GB is enough, and if you would like to play, then 100 GB may not be enough, because Only 1 game can occupy more than 15 GB. Operation itself takes 10-15 GB.

Insert the installation disk if there is no optical drive or it does not read the disk, which happens not rarely, connect the external DVD drive and click "Install".

After breaking to the partitions, the device will restart and automatically starts installing Windows to Mac using Boot Camp, in about 5-10 minutes. There will be a menu with a language selection. If you want to interrupt the process and go to OS X, then press "ALT" after rebooting and go to the necessary environment.

6) At the beginning there will be a window with a choice of language, noting the language used in the following clause of "Full Installation".

We celebrate the "BootCamp" login and click the Next button, if the inscription is "Unable to install Windows ..." below, you will select the "Boot Camp" section and go -\u003e "Disk Setup" -\u003e "Format".

7) At the end of installing Windows 7 on Mac via Boot Camp, it is proposed to enter the username and the name of the computer.

After installing the utility data, you can easily work in different environments without difficulty, changing and editing files, the only minus that Paragon paid, the free analogue at the time of writing the article existed, but allowed only with the NTFS system, but it was called "MacFuse".

As the experienced Mac users have already known, install Windows on their makintosh computers, and even sometimes (rarely) need. And newcomers are often interested in this issue, although the answer to it practically does not change over the past few years. Therefore, in this article, we will consider a fairly simple, but in demand procedure - installing Windows into a separately created logical section of the disk with Mac OS X. This is called "Installing Windows through Boot Camp". There is also another way called "Installation on a Virtual Machine", we will not consider it now, but we will have a hint that this requires a program (or VMware Fusion).

So, we decided to install Windows. What version of Windows should be purchased? If you have Mac OS X Lion, and everything is supplied with Lion, you can only install the Windows 7 family. Vista and XP are no longer supported. Therefore, you should choose any 7-ku, which most well meets your requirements for the OS.

In addition to the actual box with Windows 7, we will need to connect to the Internet to download drivers for your computer model and Windows 7.

Start by running the Boot Camp Assistant program, which is located in the program folder\u003e Utilities. This is a magic program. It will automatically separate the hard disk section that the hard disk section will prepare the boot area so that Windows can be bootable, will help install Windows, and if necessary, delete Windows and return the computer to the original state.

You will see such a greeting window, in which once again it is said about the support of exceptionally Windows 7:

Click "Continue", and in the next step the program will offer to download the driver, or refuse this step if we already have the drivers. Do you still remember the word "driver"? Select "Upload software".

Fortunately, the boot option finally earned in Lion (in Snow Leopard there were problems with this).

When the drivers are loaded, the program will offer - burn them to an optical disk or save on the USB flash drive. Previously, there was no option to keep on the USB flash drive, and now its presence pleased.

In the next step, you must specify which part of the hard disk we will use for Windows. The logical section of this size in FAT32 format will be created.

The disk partitioning process to sections may be long, and during this computer can "hang" and stop responding to user actions. Do not rush it, just leave it for a while for a while, usually the process goes successfully, sometimes for a long time, the main thing is not to worry.

When all preparatory work is made, Boot Camp will ask to insert a Windows disc and click the "Start Installation" button.

By the way, if you are trying to install Windows on, in which there is no CD drive, there Boot Camp is even more chiter. He will offer to record the installation image of the original disk with Windows on the "USB flash drive" and then mounted from it. Where to take the disk image - well, this is already 🙂

After rebooting, the computer will boot from the inserted DVD disk with Windows. After some preparatory processes, you will see an invitation to start setting:

Choose the desired region, a language as a rule, it makes no sense - there is usually only Russian. In the next step, you will see the "Install" button. I will give further several screenshots without additional explanation, since the process is in principle clear and linear.

At the Disc Selection Stage for installation, Windows will refuse to be installed in the BootCamp created for it. This is normal because the BootCamp section is automatically created in FAT32 format. It is easy to fix. Highlight the BootCamp section and click Disk Setup:

Then select "Format":

Be careful and not format your main disk section on which Mac OS X is located and all your personal files and information!

After the imac reboots the second time, you can start installing the necessary drivers. To do this, download them back from the flash drive, install and run the installation program.

Installing Windows through Bootcamp using a flash drive

The installation can be carried out both using a disk with an operating system and via a USB drive. To download the program from a flash drive on the poppy, you must first download it. If we are talking about Windows 8, the version of this system should be in ISO format.

This option is installed on Mac and IMAC, it does not differ from the previous one. Before starting actions, you should also check the bootcamp on updates and save all the necessary data. The following instruction will help to complete the task:

But it happens that when the installation carrier is a flash drive, the utility requires to insert a disk with the program and refuses to continue the operation of the software load on the IMAC. In this case, you can download the Daemon Tools Lite IMAC driver. With it, I am using the ISO-image of Windows, it will serve as a virtual drive and then bootcamp will complete the installation process of our OS.
