Installing and configuring Yandex.Browser. Install "smart" Yandex Browser on a computer How to install a new Yandex

Just a few minutes ago, Yandex opened access to downloading its new proprietary browser “ Yandex browser” version 1.0. Well, as the author of a computer blog, I hasten to share with you my first impressions of the new Yandex.Browser.

Now we will look at how to download and install it, but before that I would like to say a few words about this browser. It was presented today at the YaC conference from Yandex. I followed the conference, and I can say that the reaction to the new browser from Yandex was very different. Someone said that it would be a breakthrough, and Yandex.Browser would definitely get its fans, someone laughed at the new logo, and said that it looks like a strig was pulled on a ball :). In the trailer, how many people have so many opinions.

Yandex.Browser is built on the WebKit engine and has a Chromium shell. The browser will also use Turbo technology to compress and save Internet traffic. By the way, this technology was developed by Opera. And one more feature, everything that you download from the Internet will be checked by the system from Kaspersky Lab.

Of course, the new browser from Yandex will be integrated with Yandex services. Such as search, mail, translator, Yandex.Disk, etc.

Let's first install Yandex.Browser, and then we'll take a closer look at it.

Well, here Yandex tried, and made this procedure very pleasant and simple.

We go to browser.yandex.ru and click on the big red button “Download for Windows”, below there is a link for Mac OS X.

Immediately after clicking on the “Download” button, a window will appear in which we click “Start” (I downloaded through Opera).

Almost everything, a window will appear in which the status of installing a new browser from Yandex will be displayed.

After the installation was completed, Yandex.Browser automatically launched itself and opened all the tabs that were open in my Opera. And even automatically entered them under my data. This made me happy, but more on that below.

Appearance Yandex.Browser

The Yandex designer said that this browser will have the most minimalistic interface, and this is most likely the case. The new browser looks like this: (click on the image to enlarge it).

As you can see, really minimalism, and that's good, there is more space on the screen to display the site itself. At the very top are the tabs, and closer to the right side is the settings button. On another panel is the address bar, it is also the search bar, the back button, and the “I” button, which leads to the Yandex home page. On the right there is also a button with which you can add sites to your bookmarks.

Clicking on the settings button opens a menu that is very similar to what we see in the Chrome browser.

I will describe one more feature that relates to the appearance of the browser. If you click on the “+” button next to the tabs, a panel will open with 8 tabs for quick access to sites. Also below are links to “Bookmarks”, “History”, “Downloads” and “Recently Closed”.

A little to the right is the "Settings" button. By clicking on it, we have the opportunity to change these 8 sites for quick access. But as far as I understand, more than eight cannot be added. And this is bad, because I really like the “rubber” express bar in Opera.

This is probably all that concerns the Yandex.Browser interface. Now I will briefly write my first impressions.

First impressions of Yandex.Browser

Immediately after installation, as I said, it opened all the sites that were open in Opera. He began to open them, and I got the impression that he would not open them at all. But then I restarted it and started working with it again, and everything opens not only super fast, but not bad (I compare it with Opera).

Of course, I did not conduct any experiments, I am sure that the results of such comparisons will appear soon, well, let's wait for page load speed tests. But something tells me that they will be no better than in the same Chrome.

As for the design, navigation and minimalism, I liked everything here. Everything is very comfortable and beautiful. Not I liked the fact that you cannot add more than 8 sites to the panel with quick access to the site. I was also pleased that Flash Player and a program for viewing PDF files were immediately installed in the browser.

This concludes my review of the new Yandex.Browser. I will say that the revolution did not happen, but the browser is good at first glance, but there is nothing in it that would force one to use it. I don’t know whether to change my favorite Opera for him or not. Probably not yet, but don't forget that, it's just version 1.0. And Yandex still has room to develop its new project.

I look forward to your feedback on the new browser in the comments. Good luck!

Step 1

In this step-by-step instruction, you will learn how to easily download Yandex Browser. In order to download the browser, you need to enter "Yandex browser" in the search bar. The search engine will return a lot of possible places from where you can download the installer, but I recommend installing from the official site, as this will protect your computer from viruses and make it possible to install the latest version of the program. First, let's go to the official website of the program at this link: Then click the "Download" button.

Step 2

If you see the "Save as ..." window, this means that you need to select a location to save the program to your computer. There are two options for saving the program, which we have highlighted in the figure: 1 - Desktop and 2 - Local disk. I do not recommend saving to the Local C drive, as this drive is intended for installing programs, and saving other files clogs the system and slows down the computer. Please note that now we save only the installation files of the program, which can be deleted after installation. Then click the "Save" button.

Step 3

Further, if the download started automatically, you will see a window with brief instructions for installing the browser. Also in the lower left corner you will see the installation file being downloaded. After the file is downloaded, you just need to click once on Yandex.exe to install the browser on your computer. Detailed instructions for installing the browser at this link.

Step 4

How to find the folder with the installation file if the download started automatically

Next, I will show you how to find the folder with the installation file in the Google Chrome browser if the download started automatically and you did not choose a location for it on your computer.
To get started, click the All Downloads button on the right side of the downloads panel.

Step 5

Now click on "Show in folder" under the file name "Yandex.exe".

Step 6

This is the folder where the browser saves all files automatically. Now you can move or copy the installation file to a flash drive or local drive. To install the browser, just double-click on Yandex.exe.
We have instructions That's all! Good luck! If the article was useful to you - click Thank you.

Among other browsers worthy of attention, it is impossible not to mention the Yandex browser, developed by the guys from the search engine of the same name. The advantages and disadvantages of this program are obvious, since all its options and services are freely connected directly to the Yandex user profile, allow you to quickly launch the necessary services, save user data and synchronize accounts from different Yandex modules.

Working in the Yandex browser, the user can simultaneously use all the search engine tools without changing the account, from a single user profile. For example, from here it is easy to keep track of traffic jams, the weather, posters, the development of your site, you can additionally create screenshots, share them, save files on Yandex.Disk, use visual bookmarks, and so on. In general, all the benefits of Yandex are available to those who work with the Yandex browser.

Moreover, some users find this browser the most convenient, simple, fast and practical, as it greatly facilitates and speeds up the search for the necessary information on the Web. We will tell you how to download the Russian Yandex browser for free, how to install it on your computer, and we will tell you in this step-by-step instruction, which we dedicate entirely to the great brainchild of Yandex.

How to download Russian Yandex browser for free: step by step instructions

1. Go to the official Yandex browser page at the link:

2. We find the green “Download” button on the same page and click on it, agreeing to the terms of use of the software product.

3. In the next dialog box, select "Save file" and start downloading the installation file to your computer.

4. When the download of the installer file is completed, go to the downloads of our current browser and run the installation file by clicking on it with the mouse. In Mozilla Firefox, you can view downloads using a special downward arrow icon located on the toolbar (see screenshot). Similarly, the setup file can be run from the downloads folder. The main thing is to start installing Yandex browser, which we downloaded in the previous step.

5. At the next step (when we launch the installer), select the "Run" button.

6. Next, the system will offer us to make Yandex the default browser (uncheck/leave a check mark) and participate in improving Yandex services by transmitting impersonal user statistics (uncheck/leave a check mark). Having made your choice, unchecked or left the necessary checkboxes as desired, feel free to click on the orange button with the inscription "Start using"!

7. We wait a few minutes until the downloaded Yandex browser installs its components on the computer. Installation will take no more than five minutes, but in fact much less.

8. When the installation of the Yandex browser on the computer is completed, the browser will start in an automatic welcome mode and offer a short introduction to the features and elements of the program, offer to take a short training course on working with the Yandex browser.

The familiar word "Yandex" acquired a new meaning a couple of days ago. Now it is not only a search engine, but also a browser.
The first impression of the program is easy. Easy to download (less than 30 MB), easy to install, easy to transfer bookmarks from browsers previously installed on your computer, easy to understand the main settings and features of the program.

1. We go to the Yandex website http://browser.yandex.ru/
2. Click on the Download button, choosing the desired option from the two options: for Windows or Mac OS X.
3. The next window will tell you in detail about the next steps to install the program.
3.1. After downloading the browser, proceed to the installation by double-clicking on the installation file icon.
3.2. If you are an advanced user, you can play with the installation settings, for the rest everything is simple - click "Next".
3.3. At the end of the Yandex. The browser itself will offer to export the settings:

(Picture 1)

And he will show a small training video, "to find out what he can do."

How to use the Yandex browser. Internet?
The program interface is made in the style of minimalism. Indeed, there is nothing superfluous on the screen. The built-in default extensions "Ya.Translator", "Ya.Bar" and "Visual Bookmarks" are not striking, but, nevertheless, make access to the necessary services fast and convenient.

(Picture 2)

I would like to say a special word about the translator. The program can independently recognize the language on the open page and, if necessary, allows you to quickly translate.

(Figure 3)

The creators of Yandex.Browser called the search string "Smart Line". Indeed, it is worth entering a couple of letters, and the program will offer many options for the request text. If necessary, it will automatically switch the keyboard layout and correct typos and errors.

(Figure 5)

I would like to note a few more interesting features of the new browser
:
- clicking on the first word in the address bar allows you to go to the main page of the open site without any questions;
- clicking on the star in the upper right corner of the window creates a new bookmark;
- using keyboard shortcuts reduces (Ctrl and minus) or increases (Ctrl and plus) the scale of the window, switches it to full screen mode and back (F11).

Outcome
Now about what, according to my subjective impressions, can be attributed to the shortcomings of the program.
Downloads that are displayed at the bottom of the window, sometimes covering the necessary information. This Yandex. The Internet is like Google Chrome.
The inability to open a large number of pages at the same time. If more than 3 pages are open, the program is very slow and freezes periodically.
When restarted, the browser restores all tabs that were not closed during the previous work.

The browser from "Yandex" stands out among many other programs for viewing web pages. It is relatively new, but has already managed to gain popularity. Nevertheless, installing and configuring Yandex.Browser may seem complicated to the user.

"Yandex.Browser" for Windows: features and disadvantages

The program from Yandex is suitable for Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7. Just like Google Chrome, Opera and Amigo, the browser is based on the Chromium open source engine, which allows you to work quickly without compressing page content. If your connection is slow, you can turn on Turbo mode, which reduces live video and images, speeding up the download process.

Browser Benefits:

  • safety. Built-in Protect technology encrypts and protects data from theft and hacking. The browser checks the downloaded files immediately after downloading, and all visited sites are checked against the database of malicious viruses;
  • "Smart line". If you enter the name of a popular site in the address bar, its URL will appear: for example, when you request “contact”, the browser will automatically replace it with the address www.vk.com;
  • viewing files. The browser opens documents in doc, docx, rtf, ppt, pptx, pdf formats. You can use it as a complete reading program;
  • Turbo mode. With a slow connection, activate the "Turbo" mode, and the browser will begin to compress images, videos and other page content;
  • scoreboard. On the default start page, the browser shows visual bookmarks. They contain the sites you visit most. In addition, you can add the necessary sites yourself;
  • extensions. To expand the browser's functions or customize it for yourself, you can install free or paid add-ons, choosing from thousands available in the catalog.

    Most of the necessary extensions are already built into the browser and activated with one click

There are no special shortcomings in Yandex.Browser. You may not like the design or the browser may stutter on your device, but this is individual.
