We all have to interact with a large number of web services every day - social networks, e-mail, personal accounts in online stores, etc. etc. And the difficulty lies not so much in remembering a large number of credentials, but in the fact that each time they have to be entered manually. And if at first this does not cause much trouble, then over time it begins to annoy even the most balanced user. Fortunately for us, the electronic brains of browsers have already learned how to remember and store logins and passwords. Now they will gladly take on this part of the work, leaving us more time and energy to create something great. We only need to enter the username and password once and press the desired button to save them. And after that, with each subsequent authorization, it is enough just to select the desired login from the proposed list and the password corresponding to the selected login. If necessary, the logins and passwords saved in the browser memory can be easily deleted.

1. Saving / deleting passwords in Yandex Browser

Yandex Browser places the button for remembering the password right in the password entry line and is indicated by a key. If it is highlighted in yellow, then the entered password after entering the site will be saved in the browser. To prevent the password from being saved, you need to click on the key and deselect it.

To delete the memorized password, you need to go to the settings menu and select the "Password Manager" item.

The "Passwords and Forms" section will open

where, by clicking the "Manage passwords" button, we will receive a list of all passwords remembered by the browser. Check the box for the desired site and click delete.

If the password manager is not displayed in the settings menu of your browser, then in order to get a list of remembered passwords, in the drop-down menu, first select the "Settings" item,

then scroll down and click on "More settings"

where you will find the section "Passwords and Forms" you are looking for.

2. Save / delete passwords inGoogleChrome

By pressing the key again, a window will appear in which you can delete the memorized password or go to the "Password Settings" menu.

To remove passwords for other sites, go to the "Password Settings" by clicking the key or through the drop-down settings menu. Let's select the item "Settings".

Scroll down the page and at the very bottom open the "Additional" settings, where we find the "Passwords and Forms" section.

If you need to delete all passwords in one fell swoop, press the key combination Ctrl + Shift + Delete, select the "Additional" section and tick the "Passwords" item. Also, it will not be superfluous to clear the cookie if, for example, you are going to transfer the computer for use to another person.

3. Save / delete passwords inOpera

To view and, if necessary, delete the remembered password, you need to go to the browser settings menu. Click on the Opera icon in the upper left browser window and select the "Settings" item in the drop-down window.

Expand "Advanced", select "Security" and find the section "Passwords and Forms". Let's open the subsection "Password Management".

In the subsection "Password Management", by clicking the button in the form of three dots opposite the desired site, we can easily delete the username and password.

4. Save / delete passwords inMozillaFirefox

In Mozilla, as well as in Chrome, immediately after authorization and going to the site, a window will appear with a proposal to save the password. And if for some reason you ignored the window that appeared, then just click on the key that is in the address bar on the left side of it.

To view and delete passwords in the Mozilla Firefox browser, you must first go to the settings,

then in the "Privacy and Security" section, click "Saved Logins".

Now all that remains is to select the desired site and delete the username and password to it.

5. Save / delete passwords inEdge

The Edge browser, which replaced Internet Explorer in the Windows 10 operating system, will offer to save the password with a barely visible window at the bottom of the browser window when logging in to the site.

Removing passwords in Edge is easy, although finding the appropriate settings is a bit trickier than in previous browsers we've reviewed. Follow the directions in the picture below.

6. Save / delete passwords inInternetExplorer

And finally, let's look at the procedure for saving and deleting passwords in good old IE. In our example, this will be the 11th version of this browser. Going to the site, after entering the username and password, IE will display a window at the bottom of the browser window with a proposal to save or not save the password for this site.

Finding the settings section where you can view and delete the saved password is not easy, but possible. To do this, click the gear and in the drop-down menu we find the item "Browser Properties".

Then follow the directions in the picture below to find the "Manage Passwords" button. Click it.

The "Credential Manager" will open, where you can view and, if necessary, delete the saved password.

As you can see, every popular modern browser can remember logins and passwords for sites. In any of them, you can easily erase credentials from memory if required. And we really hope that our article helped you understand this issue.

Now any modern web browser offers to remember the entered login and password combinations in order to make quick authorization on the sites used in subsequent times. The same feature allows you to view forgotten keys at any moment, which is very convenient when working on different devices without synchronization. However, in the course of various events, it becomes necessary to delete one or more stored passwords. This can be easily done in one of three ways.

Unlike the same one, which allows you to flexibly manage saved passwords (selectively delete them by highlighting them, edit them), Google Chrome has only a few basic functions for deleting and disabling auto-login using a saved combination of login and key. Let's see how you can accomplish the task in different ways.

Method 1: Removing the password on the site

Quite fast, but not very convenient option. Suitable only for cases when the user is ready to log out or has not logged into the site, while he sees automatically filled lines with a username and password. In order not to go to the menu, just refer to the address bar and find the lock icon on the right side of it.

Click on it to bring up a window offering more actions. Click on the trash can icon to remove the password. For this web address, the authorization form will no longer be filled in automatically until the login / password combination is saved again.

Method 2: Remove passwords one by one

This option is the most relevant, since the user only needs to go to a special settings item and delete one or more passwords there at his discretion, performing a number of the same type of actions.

If you need to delete several passwords at once, you will need to repeat the same algorithm: you cannot select several lines at the same time. You will also not be able to edit the key, so if it was saved with an error, you will need to first delete it and then save the new one again. When you need to delete all passwords at once, use the instructions below.

Alternatively, the browser suggests disabling autocomplete for lines "Login" and "Password", but at the same time the passwords themselves will also be stored in Chrome. To whom such a solution seems more suitable, it is necessary to click on the button in the form of a switch next to the item "Automatic login", which is just above all passwords.

Method 3: Remove all passwords

Some users decide to completely clear their web browser, including passwords. This is a rather radical option, since if one of the combinations is forgotten, you will no longer be able to view it through Google Chrome. Nevertheless, if you are confident in your actions and decide to do it, for example, out of security, having previously rewritten the passwords used in a more secure place, follow these steps:

Another option is to disable password sync altogether. Being in "Settings", in the block "Users" find the item "Synchronization of Google services".

Open the section Synchronization settings.

Find "Passwords" and click on the toggle button. Now passwords will not sync between two or more browsers logged in with the same account. This approach is convenient, for example, to distinguish between work and personal activities within a single Google account.

Now you know how you can not only delete passwords, but also disable synchronization if you need to clear them in order to maintain confidentiality.

Instructions

In Internet Explorer, in order to delete one specific login with a password, and not the entire one stored by the browser, you should go to the authorization page of that resource, the login with the password of which must be deleted. In the authorization form, double-click the right mouse button to click the login input field - this will open the list of logins saved here. Using the up / down arrow keys, navigate to the desired list in this list and delete by pressing the Delete key.

In the Mozilla FireFox browser, to selectively delete logins and passwords, open the "Tools" section in the menu and click "Settings". In the browser settings window, you need to go to the "Protection" tab and click the "Saved" button in the "Passwords" section. A window will open with a list of logins and the corresponding ones - select the desired login and click the "Delete" button.

In the Opera browser, to delete one or more logins and passwords, you need to open the "Settings" section in the main menu and click "Delete personal data" in it. This will open a window with deletion settings, which are in the collapsed list. To expand it - click the "Detailed settings" inscription. The list will expand, but you do not need it here, but the "Manage Passwords" button - it opens a window with a list of web resources for which there are passwords in the browser. By clicking the names of sites, you can expand the lists of logins related to these sites, select the ones you need and destroy them by clicking the "Delete" button.

In Google Chrome, to edit the list of stored logins / passwords, you need to expand the menu by clicking the wrench icon in the upper right corner. In it, select "Options" to go to the browser settings page. In the settings, you need the "Personal Materials" page - a link to it is located in the left panel of the page. Among the settings for personal materials there is a button labeled "Manage saved passwords" - click it and the next page with the heading "Passwords" will open. Here you can select the ones you need in the list of sites and logins and delete them by clicking the cross at the right edge of the selected line.

In the Apple Safari browser menu, you need to click the "Preferences" item, and you can open this menu in two ways - by clicking either the "Edit" section or the gear icon in the upper right corner of the browser. Among the tabs of the settings window, you need to select the one that says "Autocomplete". In it, opposite the item "Usernames and passwords" there is a button "Edit" - click it. This will open a window with a list of sites and their corresponding logins - select the ones you need and erase them from the browser memory by pressing the "Delete" button.

Modern browsers are equipped with a rather convenient function - remember the login, and with it the password. It is quite convenient, because if you are using your home computer or laptop, you do not have to constantly manually enter the password, but just click on your login at the entrance. But, sometimes there is a need to remove this function or so that the username and password are not saved on the browser.

If you enter through someone else's device, then before the first entrance you should uncheck the "remember me" signature at the bottom, or after entering, there will be an inscription at the top: "Remember this password for this browser?" and next to this inscription, click on the inscription "never". But, there are other cases when the password has already been saved, but you needed to delete it urgently for some reason. Then there is a more complicated plan of action.

How to delete a login when entering classmates

To remove the login and password from classmates, it will be enough just to delete it from the saved memory of the browser, where all the saved data is stored.

You must simultaneously hold down the CTRL + SHIFT + DELETE keys.

ATTENTION. This keyboard shortcut for opening history does not work for all browsers. If you have not opened the window with the history, after such a combination, then you need to go to the history through the browser menu or right-click on the arrow back to any of the pages, and then on the inscription "show the entire history".

After the "history" tab appears, click on the "Clear history" message. The history will need to be cleared for the entire time by ticking the "cookies" and "passwords" checkbox. With this method of deleting the saved password, the saved login will be deleted from all visited sites.

If you need to delete an unnecessary login only for the site classmates, here the path is a little different.

Through the menu, go to the settings section, then go to the privacy section and select "delete individual cookies" there. Then, in the search, drive in the address of the Odnoklassniki website.

However, this method does not work on all browsers. Then there is another way to go. Open the settings, then find the personal data tab and click on the inscription "content settings" there. Then select "cookies and site data" there. In the search, enter the full address of the site, delete everything associated with it by clicking on the cross.

To prevent passwords from being saved on any site at all, you can turn off the password autosave feature.

Open the settings, find the "Passwords and Forms" tab, where we click "Autocomplete settings". These settings are responsible for the fact that the password appears when you click on the login. Then you just need to turn off autocomplete.

On some browsers, it is possible to disable autocomplete for a specific site. In this case, there will be an inscription "offer to save passwords for sites", next to which there will be an inscription "configure", which should be clicked. Next, enter the site address into the search engine and remove the passwords by clicking on the cross.

If the page in Odnoklassniki opens without a password, before the actions described above, you will need to leave your page

All the methods described above should help you remove the remembered username and password!
