Philips xenium w3568 specifications. Philips Xenium W3568 - Specifications
Smartphones Philips Xenium many are led to the idea that the autonomy of these devices will be excellent regardless of the price of the device. The test Philips Xenium W3568 is equipped with a 2000 mAh battery. It works on the basis of a MediaTek MT6572 dual-core processor running the Android 4.2 operating system and is equipped with two SIM card slots.
The smartphone looks inconspicuous - a typical representative of the budget segment. In terms of dimensions, the Xenium W3568 is slightly larger than its competitors, due to the more capacious battery.
The sides of the smartphone are slightly chamfered, mostly at the top and bottom, and less at the right and left. The top and bottom ends are made of matte plastic, which feels like soft-touch spraying. The front panel is covered protective glass... In its upper part there is a 0.3 megapixel front camera, light and proximity sensors, and a voice speaker, below is the manufacturer's logo. Under the four-inch screen, backlit hardware touch keys and a microphone can be seen. It is good that the manufacturer did not overthink the location of the connectors. Everything is in its place. On the right side there is a power / lock key, and on the left there is a volume control key. The top end contains a Micro-USB connector and a 3.5mm audio jack. On the back of the device there is a flash, a 3 megapixel camera, a multimedia speaker and the manufacturer's logo. Under the lid is accumulator battery 2000 mAh, and under it there are two slots for SIM-cards and a slot for microSD memory cards.
The buttons are comfortable, have a well-discernible move, although there is one incomprehensible moment with the lock key. Often, after pressing the lock key, the device responds with a delay, especially when you need to wake up the smartphone from sleep mode. This is annoying because sometimes it takes a long time to wait for the device to react. Everything is fine with the assembly of the smartphone, the back cover is held securely and does not creak. The body has excellent rigidity. An unpleasant aspect of the assembly is that the volume and lock keys have a noticeable backlash.
Operating system and shell
Like most state employees, Philips Xenium W3568 runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system without any additional decorations and add-ons. The preinstalled programs include the TouchPal and Xenium Club keyboard. Latest app is something like an app store. By the way, Google services presented in full.
Performance
The device works on the basis of the well-known bundle of MediaTek MT6572 dual-core processor, 512 MB random access memory and 4 GB of built-in storage. The frequency of each of the cores is 1.3 GHz. The well-known Mali-400MP acts as a video accelerator. After turning on, about 190 MB of RAM is available. The performance level is typical for a device in the entry price segment. The device works smartly. During everyday work, the interface is smooth enough, but there may be problems with the launch of productive games, but again, do not forget about the class of the device.

Voice quality is very good. The voice speaker did not disappoint either. The speaker volume and vibration power are sufficient not to miss a call. Like the vast majority of competitors, the device has one radio module. Therefore, when calling on one of the SIM-cards, the second one will not be available. Wi-Fi operation deserves only praise, but with the search GPS satellites everything is not so rosy. Satellites are searched for a long time and are easily lost, but this problem occurs relatively often on budget devices.
Autonomy
In terms of autonomy, we expected more from the device. For a device running on the MediaTek MT6572 platform with a 2000 mAh battery, the results are far from impressive. The smartphone can easily live for two days with a load above average.

Screen
The Philips Xenium W3568 smartphone is equipped with a 4-inch TFT screen with a resolution of 800x480 pixels, there is a light sensor. There is no oleophobic coating.
The maximum display brightness is 253 cd / m2, 50% is 178.5 cd / m2, and the minimum is 80 cd / m2. Subjectively, the display brightness is not enough for comfortable work in sunny conditions, and the minimum brightness, to put it mildly, is overestimated, that is, working with a smartphone in the dark is tiresome for the eyes. The detail is good, but the color rendition and viewing angles are not encouraging. The display test results can be seen below.
Camera
The smartphone is equipped with two cameras - the main one with a resolution of 3 megapixels and the front one with 0.3 megapixels. Both cameras are without autofocus. The main one is capable of recording HD video, frontal VGA. Camera settings are standard. The quality of photos and videos of both the front and rear cameras is below average. Examples of photos and videos can be found below.

Outcomes
The smartphone came out too ordinary. Of course, the logo of a famous company on the front panel should inspire confidence, but not everything is so smooth. Disadvantages in the form of not better screen, cameras and relatively high cost, it is difficult to overcome the advantages, including autonomy. It should be noted about the problems mechanical keys and the incomprehensible pensiveness of the lock key. As a result, the smartphone can be recommended to people who value autonomy and support for two SIM-cards, while other parameters fade into the background.

Xenium has long been associated with good battery and, accordingly, a long period of work without recharging. Recently the company presented a budget novelty Philips Xenium W3568 and in this review we will see how this device turned out. The smartphone can work, and has a powerful dual-core processor.
Philips Xenium W3568 has a discreet look, like most budget models. In terms of dimensions, the device is slightly larger than its competitors, due to a more capacious battery. The top and bottom ends of the phone use a matte sprayed plastic that feels like a Soft-touch coating.
In the upper part of the front panel there is a camera for video calls, as well as proximity sensors, lighting and an earpiece protected by a miniature mesh.
Under the display are touch control buttons and a microphone hole. On the right edge there is an on / off button for the device. The volume control is located on the left side. The buttons are quite comfortable, they have a rather long and discernible stroke.
The phone is assembled quite well, the parts fit tightly to each other and do not creak.
The phone measures 68 × 126.8 × 11.95 mm. The weight of the device is 137 g.
Performance and software
V Philips smartphone Xenium W3568 is equipped with the well-known dual-core chip MediaTek MT6572, the bus frequency of each core is 1.2 GHz. The phone has 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of internal memory. The device is equipped with a video module Mali-400MP.
The smartphone is running the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system. Among the programs that are initially installed on the phone, it should be noted comfortable keyboard TouchPal and the Xenium Club app store. The phone also has Google services, and for its price point, the device works pretty fast. The performance is sufficient for working with various applications, but games with high demands may not run on this model. The phone perfectly transmits speech, the interlocutor is heard loudly and clearly. You can install two SIM cards in a smartphone, since there is only one radio module, then when using one SIM card, the second will be blocked. The smartphone has a high-quality Wi-Fi module that keeps the signal well. But GPS works with minor problems, the search for a satellite takes a long time, and sometimes the signal is lost.
The smartphone works in networks of the GSM 900/1800/1900 standard, as well as in the Internet - 3G.
AnTuTu performance test.
Screen
The Philips Xenium W3568 has a 4-inch TFT display with a resolution of 800x480 pixels. The display detail is good, but when it comes to brightness and viewing angles, this is frankly the weak side of the model. The image is difficult to see in the sun.
Camera
The smartphone has two cameras: front and main. The resolution of the matrix of the main camera is 3 MP, and the front one is 0.3 MP. The main camera can record HD video, this is a definite plus, but as for the pictures, although they do not differ in special quality, they are quite acceptable given the inexpensive price of the device.
Battery
The capacity of the battery installed in the model is 2000 mAh. The filling of the phone is designed in such a way as to minimize power consumption. This is enough for the device to work for about two days with an average activity of use. When watching a video, the phone will work for about 5 hours without recharging. According to the manufacturer, the phone works thirteen hours of talk time and about 500 hours of standby time.
Conclusion
If we consider the models in the price category of about five thousand rubles, then for the most part they are all inferior to the Philips Xenium W3568. By purchasing this budget model the buyer gets a phone that holds the battery well enough and has excellent performance and functionality. One of the weak points of the phone is the low brightness of the screen, the image of which is difficult to see in bright sunlight.
The average price of the device in Russia is about 4500 rubles.
