You are disconnected from the WoT server - what to do, what is the reason. Possible solution to the problem with logging into the game It says you are disconnected from the server in wot

When starting World of Tanks, the user receives the error “You have been disconnected from the server.” Such situations lead to confusion, because no visible errors with the network are observed. Disconnections from the server occur during the game or when trying to enter it. Regular connection initiation will not help correct the situation. We'll tell you what to do first.

Reasons for disconnection in WoT

The WoT game gathers tens of thousands of players on servers with complex graphics. Such actions often lead to overloads within the servers. As a rule, to unload the game, actions are taken to force users to disconnect. Don't forget about the possibility of defects in WoT files. The client is constantly updated, which may lead to incorrect integration of new patches. The last source of failures may be changed Network settings on the computer.

The tank server has crashed

Everyone is familiar with the situation when disconnection from the server in tanks occurs due to its “fall”. Maintenance work can be carried out plannedly or spontaneously when current problems arise. The management of World of Tanks should notify about this on their forums.

  • The tank driver can only wait for the technical services to stop working. The advantage of the situation is that the inconvenience is temporary – up to 6 hours. For several days no one is repairing the servers - the problem is on the PC itself.

Repair via WGCheck

The WGCheck client was released by the company to solve situations with broken patches. Also, the specified software collects information, which is subsequently sent to the support service to find the causes of bugs.

You can download WGCheck from the official website: ru.wargaming.net/support/kb/. The player will need to specify the path to the game, as well as initiate a file scan. The client himself repaired the broken sectors on his own. “Create a report” and send it to technical support.

Tank mods may cause “You have been disconnected from the server”

Many tankers commit the sin of installing mods, which are sometimes completely unnecessary. Only a few are officially developed by the company, others work in a semi-legal state and are made on the knee. To ensure that it gets onto the server, remove all mods from unofficial developers. If the problem persists, try running WoT without any mods at all. Uninstall all supporting software or reinstall the game.

  1. By default, all mod packs are installed as regular programs. You need to remove them through “Programs and Features”.
  2. If you act clumsily, then in the root of the WoT game files there is a res_mods folder. Erase all folders in it except the one that matches the current version of the game - the number of this directory will be the highest. Then open this folder and delete everything there except the Readme file.

Checking the cache

Clearing saved data often helps when disconnecting from the server. You will have to delete the cache yourself by finding the directories containing the necessary user software.

  1. First, call the “Run” process.
  2. Enter the following characters, copying them into the desired field %appdata%.
  3. We find the Wargaming.net directory at the bottom of the list. There is another one embedded in it.
  4. We delete all visible data in the folder and empty the trash can.
  5. Please note that the password will be reset, just like other user settings.
  6. It would be a good idea to check your computer with the CCleaner utility. Use it to perform two options: “Cleaning” and “Registry”.

Changing the approach

Considering the variety of servers presented, you can try to test them all for performance. It is not necessary that the old proven channels will work. It is recommended to do this process from time to time. Going through all the connections once will not be enough.

Communication channel drops during update

The game client stopped receiving data during scheduled updates - a critical error appeared. She will tell you about incorrect data from the service. There is nothing critical here. It’s just that patches stopped arriving regularly from the service responsible for distributing them. Everything is corrected in a matter of hours, when the service eliminates its shortcomings in speed or does not resume supplying data to users.

By the way, read this article too: MSVCR90.dll what is this error and how to fix it

Conclusion

The above solutions help to fix the “You have been disconnected from the server” crash in World of Tanks. But, given the jumps in the appearance of the bug (2017 - early 2018), we can talk about unstable operation of the servers during overloads. The last thing worth noting is that you should check your connection, or more precisely the DNS screens. It happens that viruses (worms, hijackers, Trojans) change DNS addresses or clog the channel with background connections. Be sure to check your PC for viruses; AdwCleaner and Malwarebytes can help you. Also keep in mind the speed of your connection; if the ping fluctuates, blocking in tanks can throw you off.

After patch 0.7. 0 1 Many people encountered an unpleasant bug - it became impossible to enter the game the first time, the input gear spun for a minute, after which the message “You are disconnected from the server” appeared. On the second attempt, the game already started, but when the client crashed, everything started all over again - again driving the gear through the brain and turning it off again.
On the forum, topics with questions about this bug were usually immediately closed with a suggestion to contact support, but sometimes someone managed to leave advice there to delete the wargaming.net folder (in XP it is located in drive_name:\Documents and Settings\User\\Application Data \wargaming.net\), this folder contains the preferences.xml settings file and player statistics in the dossier_cache folder.
However, upon closer examination of the contents of this folder, curious things were revealed - in the custom_data directory more than 10 thousand files ranging in size from 1 to 10 kilobytes were found, the oldest of them was dated December 26, 2011 (it seems that release 0.7 was then? I don’t even remember , what was there at that time and what patch was released)
Demolition of all this cheerful file fraternity immediately cured the client from login blockages, now it logs in normally the first time, but I don’t have time now to test whether the bug will appear again, so I recommend it to everyone. If anyone has a similar problem, look into custom_data, delete everything there and check if this really helps (I suspect that over time the folder will again be filled with kilobyte garbage and the operation will have to be repeated)
UPD. I edited the post to correct the confusion in the dates and patch numbers, it seems old age crept up too quickly - I don’t really remember anything anymore. I also confuse the dates :(
UPD2 Based on the results of the discussion. So, the kilobyte garbage actually turned out to be clan emblems, removing them really eliminates the blockage at the entrance to the game. Obviously, the problem manifested itself among those who played quite a lot on test servers, starting with the test patch in which the emblems first appeared. The client could digest a certain number of files in custom_data (I think about 5-6 thousand) and then began to be slow at the input. For those who played little or not at all during the tests, the problem did not appear. What conclusions can be drawn from all this? I believe that in a week or a week and a half after the release of the patch with clan emblems, as soon as the majority of players’ custom_data is filled with over 9000 emblems, the potato forum will break down from indignant cries and demands to fix the bug with the inability to enter the game the first time, unless, of course, gentlemen KTTS will not catch on sooner.
UPD3 In connection with further discussion. Because the problem manifests itself among those who were not in the tests, I assume that custom_data began to fill immediately after the implementation of the ability to display clan emblems in one of the patches (0.7.0, it seems) while the actual display was turned off, but the loading mechanism itself remained and now the client downloads and stores dummy files instead of emblems every time the player encounters clan fighters with clan tags - thus, with a fairly intense game, even only in random, custom_data becomes clogged with dummy files of 254 bytes in size, which leads to freezes. I recommend cleaning the folder yourself, without waiting for tens or two thousand files to accumulate there, and then KTTS will catch up with automatic deletion of unnecessary files.
