If you have any problems attaching files, use our

Not many Internet users (even experienced ones) know the meaning of the word attach, although they use this function quite often. Translated from English, this word means - attach, attach, attach.

The easiest way to transfer information to another user is to attach a file to an email. If a letter is received with a message about additional information contained in the attachment, then this means that you need to find the files attached to this letter.

Any files: texts, pictures, - pages, photos, musical fragments can be sent or received as attachments (attachments).

But this is theory. Next, we will analyze the use of the attachment in practice.
So, to send information, we should click on the virtual button "Attach a file", located just below and to the right under the lines for entering the address and subject of the email. In the figures below, for your convenience, the necessary elements are highlighted with a yellow marker.

After that, a dialog box will pop up, where you can select the location of the file and the file itself, prepared for sending. In our case, this is the Enterprise Database file located on the desktop, as shown in the following figure.

To upload the file to the mail program server, you can double-click on the required file or select the file and click on the "Open" virtual key located at the bottom of the dialog box, as shown in the figure.

You will see a document loading indicator, as shown in Figure 4. Wait a moment. It's too early to send the letter.

When the document is fully uploaded to the mail server, you will see the graphical symbol shown in Figure 5. A green check mark next to the document indicates that the file has been successfully attached. You need to click on the red cross only if for some reason you change your mind about attaching the file.

The length of the document is written at the bottom of the document. Most have an automatic configuration that does not allow you to download files larger than 20 MB at the same time. If the norm is exceeded, the letter is saved on the server in a separate zone. The recipient, instead of the letter, will receive a link to the place where the information is stored, which can be downloaded in the future (data storage is used here).
After the information has reached the mail server, the letter is ready to be sent. You can press the "Send" virtual key marked in Figure 6.

After successfully sending the letter, you will receive a notification that the letter has found its addressee.

Email is a service for sending and receiving messages over the Internet. Its advantages include reliability, efficiency, the ability to transmit simple and formatted text, as well as easily perceived and remembered addresses.

Anyone can create their own e-mail - for this it is enough to register on one of the mail services. When sending an e-mail, it is possible to attach files of various formats to it (you can send as an attachment text, photographs and pictures, audio and video files, as well as spreadsheets, etc.). To attach a file to an e-mail, you must use the intuitive interface of the postal service (as a rule, this is done through the buttons: "Attach", "Add file", etc., depending on the service on which the mailbox is registered).

Attaching a file to an email

Various mail services allow you to attach files of different sizes to an email: Mail.Ru and Yandex - up to 30 megabytes, Google (Gmail) - up to 25 megabytes, and Rambler - up to 20 megabytes (Mail.ru and Yandex.ru have the ability to store files large volume on file hosting, from where they can be downloaded within 30 days using the link specified in the message). In any mailbox, to attach a file to a letter, you will need:

  • Indicate the recipient's address, the subject of the message (optional, but the absence of a subject is considered a sign of bad taste);
  • Write the text of the message, in which it is desirable to inform that files will be attached to the letter;
  • Click on the "Attach files" button (its location changes depending on the mailbox and it can be called differently: "Add file", "Attach", "Browse", etc.);
  • In the window that opens, select the desired file and click on the "Open" button (if you need to send a lot of files, you can put them in the archive by selecting all the files, clicking the right mouse button and selecting the "Add to archive" command);
  • Wait until the download is complete and click on the "Send" button (if the wrong file was selected by mistake, you can remove it from the attachment by clicking on the red cross to the right of it);
  • If you need to attach several files, the steps described above should be repeated (up to 50 files can be attached to one letter, the total size of which does not exceed the amount specified for this mailbox).

Some mail services provide the ability to attach files from mail or disk (on Yandex). To do this, select the item next to the "Attach files" button (arrow or disk) and select the required files.
