Before the installation, you need to perform several preparatory steps. At the beginning of the article, we placed detailed content so that you can quickly view the entire sequence of actions and go to the necessary part of the instruction.

If you are interested in some particular question (for example, errors in installing, how to enter and configure BIOS, etc.), links to the content will allow you to go directly to it.

If you are new, then just follow the manual from the beginning to the end: each item is described in the most detailed as possible and includes references to the auxiliary instructions.

What should be ready before installation

Check out the list below to check your computer's readiness and system to install or reinstall Windows 7 and perform the necessary actions to complete the preparation.

What are the settings of the installation, how to save personal files and programs

Installation is two types:
  • Full reinstalling the operating system (OS) when the section is fully erased hard disk (or the entire disk), including all your programs, documents and files.
  • OS update at which only system files are updated.
OS update has a number of shortcomings. Therefore, it is recommended to carry out a complete reinstalling system, and this will require you to save all personal files and program settings.

If you have not done this yet, read an article about preparing for installation, you will learn from it:

  • how to save all important personal data;
  • what programs will need immediately after installation and where to download them;
  • is it possible to copy the installed drivers where to find drivers after installation;
  • analysis of some special cases;
Save all the data and go to the next step.

How to legally download the original image of Windows 7 x64 or x32 for free.

Download Original Image can be legally using the program "Windows ISO DOWNLOADER": The file download with the Windows image will be executed with official site Microsoft..

File program "Windows ISO DOWNLOADER" with version 5.21 (from September 20, 2017) is attached to the article (to the right of this text).
How to download the image is presented in the figure below:

Select the Windows 7 section, then the desired editing of the image of Windows 7 and the "Confirm" button.

Attention!
We are imperative not recommended Use Windows 7 builds - Use only original system images.

Microsoft has several aircraft hangars of a variety of equipment designed to test the operation of the operating system on various combinations of devices. Therefore, the official image of the OS is working correctly at the overwhelming majority of users.

Assembly authors do not have such testing opportunities, so a certain percentage of users will begin problems during the assembly operation, it will be possible to solve which it will be possible only with the help of a complete reinstall of Windows.

What version of the image to choose: 32 bit or 64 bit

Everything is very simple: 64 bit OSs are needed in two cases: that the computer can "see" 4GB and more random access memory And so that you can work with "heavy" programs or games. Attention!
Some new programs and games may not start 32 Bit Windows.
Conclusions:

  • If the amount of 4GB RAM and more - boldly choose x64 (64 bits).
  • If the computer is old and complex programs (for example, audio and video editors, system for design, multimedia packets) are not used, select X32 (32 bits).
More information about the difference between the 32-bit and 64 bit operating system is presented in this article.

The easiest way to see how many RAM - Press the right mouse button on the icon "My computer" → Select item "Properties" in context menu.

The window that opens will be indicated by the amount of RAM, as well as the size of the system set at the moment.

What version of Windows 7 Select: Home, Professional or Ultimate?

There are various versions (editions) of Windows 7, some of which are very different from functionality. Read more windows version You can read.

Most often when installing is chosen between the versions " Professional "And" Ultimate ».
The best choice in terms of the version of the image will be « Windows 7 Professional » .
But you should not worry if you have another version of Windows - the installation process will be similar.
Editorial Professional " Unlike "Ultimate" There is no number of services that most users will never take advantage.
You probably did not even hear their names: DirectAccess, subsystem of running Unix applications, BranchCache, BitLocker, etc. Accordingly, the hard disk space version « Professional » It will take less.

How to record the image on a DVD disk or on a USB flash drive?

If the image has already been recorded and the installation has passed normally from it, then you can immediately move to the next chapter. If you do not know with what programs you can burn an image on a disk or a flash drive, then the following auxiliary articles will help you: Please note that the installation from the flash drive is more reliable, and is also performed faster. If you have in stock a 4GB flash drive or more, then it is better to install it from it.

The process of reinstalling Windows.

So, the installation preparation is completed: all personal data are saved, the carrier with the distribution of the operating system is created, and the section is prepared to which the image will be installed.

Setting up the priority of boot devices in the BIOS

  1. Restart the computer and log in to the BIOS.
    • on the personal computers Most often to enter the BIOS used buttons « Delete.» (« Del.»), « F.2 ","F.one", "ESC»
    • on laptops - keys « F.eight", "F.nine", "F.12", "ESC»
  2. After the transition to the BIOS, you must find the menu section responsible for installing the devices to download the OS.
    The section may be in different places (depending on the type motherboard and bIOS version), so you need to find the menu « FIRST. Boot. Device. », « Boot. » or « Boot. Device. ».
  1. You need to go to this section of the menu and set the drive to the first place. DVD or HDD disk (Your flash drive) depending on which the media is recorded.
  2. After that, you need to get out of the BIOS, saving the change.
    Most often to save changes before going out, you need to press the key « F. 10" and then confirm the preservation by clicking « Y. » Or selecting item « Yes » in the dialog box.
If you have difficulty in the BIOS input, save changes or search for boot device priorities settings, then read the article on setting up the parameters in the BIOS.

In the article you will find the instructions with examples:

  • how to enter BIOS or UEFI with examples of various BIOS screens.
  • how to find an option Boot Devica Priority.
  • a table with a list of keys to enter the BIOS on laptops from different manufacturers.

Autostart installation of Windows with DVD disk or flash drive

If you did everything right, then after restarting the computer, you will see the following:

  • if you use a DVD carrier, you will see the inscription "Press Any Key for Load From CD ..." (Press any key to boot from the CD). You must immediately press any key, since after the expiration of a small amount of time (about 10 seconds) download will begin with the next device installed in the BIOS.
  • if you used a flash drive, the installation will begin immediately
Remember!
By installing the operating system, you must be attentive and careful with the functions, the meaning of which do not fully understand.
The site administration is not responsible for the result of your actions.

Figure 6. Choosing a hard disk for further installation Windows 7..

Hard disk sections for system installation

After moving to a complete installation, we will appear hard diskswhere you can create or select sections for installation. At this step there can be several options for developing events.

  • You have only one in the system hDD.
  • You have a separate hard disk (possibly SSD), where the operating system will be installed, and separate disks for storing data.
  • The installer does not see the hard disk or other errors arise (below are references to articles where these problems are witted)
Attention!
If you have several hard drives, then transfer all the important data to the disk where personal files will be stored, and disconnect it to accidentally do not confuse discs when creating sections or formatting.
If you have only one hard disk (or SSD), it is desirable to split it into parts (if it allows the volume of the disk).

The disk must be divided into parts in such a way that no less than 50GB is allocated for the system, perhaps even more, because For normal windows work 7 It is desirable that at the system section it was at least 15-20% of the free space.
The disc is divided into partitions so that in the future it was easier to reinstall the operating system.

For example, you have only 1 hard drive in a 500GB computer.

You break it into 2 parts: 120GB (disk " C: ") and 380GB (disk " D.)

Now on disk « D. You have music, movies, photos, program installers, folders with drivers, games, etc., and on the disk « C. You install programs for work.

Files from folders "Desktop" and "My Documents" are also stored on the disk « C.:». When in the future you want to reinstall Windows, then you just need to transfer (copy) all the important files from the desktop and other disk folders « C. on disk « D., then spend a complete reinstall with disk formatting « C..
If the disc will not be divided into sections, then you have no place to transfer data from the disk « C.:», And you will not be able to format it.

Creating partitions on disk

At this step, you can create partitions on the hard disk if:

  • the hard disk is not posted (new or all sections were previously deleted);
  • there are no important files from the hard disk, and you can delete all information.
A new hard disk is immediately displayed in the form of one partition and is signed as "unimpressed" (see Figure 6).
If you are going to redeem the disk (and all important files from it are already transferred), then you need:
  1. Sequentially delete all sections of your disk using the button. "Delete" . Attention! All files on these sections will be deleted!
  2. Select the mouse that appears unallocated section, click "Create" (see Figure 6).
  3. Specify the size first for the system partition (which will be the disk « C. ), then create a disc partition « D. (and other disks, if necessary).
If the disk was not distributed, the OS installer will additionally create a 100MB partition for storing special system files.

Selecting a section for installation

If the disk sections were previously created:

  1. Choose system section (on which was previously stolen OS).
  2. Click on the button "Format".
  3. After formatting, select the cleared partition and click on the button. "Further".
If the installer does not see the hard disk, requires a device driver or other problems arise, then look for and eliminate your error using these two articles:
  • The analysis of various types of errors when installing Windows 7 (including by codes).
  • What to do if the installer does not see the device (drive, hard disk, keyboard or mouse, etc.).
In Figure 6, you can see an unimpressed disc of 35 GB.

Figure 7. Creating a hard disk partition
In our case, no partition is yet created, so you need to click on the button. "Create" (Figure 7), then specify the volume created section (Figure 8) and click on the button "Apply" .

After that, the operating system installer will inform you that an additional partition for storing system files will be created:

After completing copying and unpacking files, a computer is rebooted.

At this point, you must remove a DVD or Flash drive from the computer, as the installation will continue from the hard disk to which the necessary files are made.

After rebooting, you will see the window with the completion of the installation.

Next, you will be offered to enter a password and a password tip. If you want to protect access to your password account, enter it. Or you can skip this step by clicking the button. "Further" .

We use the easiest way to download - using "Boot Menu" ("Download menu"). To call "Boot Menu" on different motherboards and laptops, the "F8", "F9", "F10", "F11", "F12" or "ESC" can be used. Often this key is specified in the prompts that appear when the computer is turned on.

Immediately after turning on the computer, clamp and hold the "Boot Menu" call before the boot device menu appears.

Using the "Down" and "Up" arrows, go to a DVD drive or a USB flash drive and press "ENTER".
TRANSCEND JETFLASH 790 8GB

If the call key is not specified in the prompts at the initial stage of the computer loading, then this information you can learn from the instructions on the website of the manufacturer of the motherboard or laptop, searching on the Internet or a tyk method.

The first thing you should see after the BIOS messages is a "Press Any Key to Boot From CD OR DVD ..." type ("Press any button to download from CD or DVD ...") or "Press Any Key to Boot from USB ..." ("Press any button to download from USB ...") if you are loaded from the flash drive.

Seeing this message, you must press any key on the keyboard within a few seconds, I usually click "Space". If you do not get this moment, then installing Windows will not start and you will have to restart the computer again from the old operating system, the Ctrl-Alt-Del key combination or the RESET button on the system unit.

I draw your attention to the fact that in the installation process Windows Computer It reboots several times and each time this message can appear, but press "any key" on the keyboard is more unnecessary, otherwise you simply launch Windows reinstalling first and you never end up!

Sometimes a message may still appear as in the screenshot below.

In this case, you just need to press the "ENTER" key on the keyboard. And when switched by the "Tab" key to the "Windows Memory Diagnostic" item, you can check the computer's operational memory for service.

Wait until the blue window "Install Windows" appears.

Installing Windows 7 begins with the selection of languages.

3.1. Select language

At this stage, it is proposed to select languages.

The "set language" is a language in which all messages will be displayed in the operating system. If the Windows version is multilingual, then you will receive a choice. Most Windows editions have only one operating system language and it is desirable that it is clear to you.

"The format of time and monetary units" - defines the names of months, days of the week, the main currency adopted in your country of digital dividers (point or comma), etc. What does it mean? Well, for example, if you choose "Ukrainian", then in programs for setting text and tables days of the week, months and monetary units will automatically substitute in Ukrainian, regardless of the language of the entire document. Therefore, choosing a national format makes sense only if most of your documents are in the national language. However, it is easy to change in Windows at any time.

"Keyboard layout" is just a default input language that will be used when launch Windows and all programs. It makes sense to install the one on which you communicate and write. If you use a computer mainly for programming, it is possible to choose the US layout (English). After installing Windows, you can add and assign any language by default.

For Russian-language residents of the CIS, I recommend leaving "Russian" everywhere, since when installing some programs that have a multilingual interface, they may not be in Russian, but on the one that you specified in one of the fields when installing the system.

To continue the installation, click the Next button.

3.2. Running installation

In the next window, click the "Set" button below the "Windows 7" logo.

3.3. License agreement

We put the checkbox "I accept the terms of the license" and click "Next".

4. Windows 7 installation type

We offer two types of installation.

"Update" - allows you to update previous version Windows (Vista) on new Windows 7 With saving files, programs and settings. Windows XP cannot be updated in this way. In any case, I do not recommend using this installation method, as it inherits the problems of the previous operating system and it is likely that the computer will brake and work with failures.

"Full setting" - setting new copies of Windows on a new or existing hard disk section. When installing on new computer On the hard disk sections are created, and when installing on an old computer, the partitions are either removed and re-created, or a section is selected on which there is enough space for installation. Using this type of installation, you can also install Windows 7 with the second operating system, for example, together with the already available Windows XP. In this case, when you turn on the computer, you will query what operating system you want to download.

Select the "full setting" and the disk selection window will open to install Windows 7.

5. Disk configuration

The disk configuration is called the process of creating, deleting, formatting hard sections Disc to install Windows.

5.1. Disk configuration on the old computer

If you reinstall Windows on the old computer, then it already has one ("C") or several sections ("C", "D" ...). I hope that you have not forgotten from the disk "C" to an external disk, since in the process of reinstalling Windows, the disk "C" will be cleaned.
TRANSCEND STOREJET 25M TS500GSJ25M TS500GSJ25M 500 GB hard disk

If you have only one partition on your disk, then it is better to delete it and create two new - one small volume for the operating system and programs, the second on the remaining place for your files. This disk configuration will be more convenient and reliable in terms of backup and restore the operating system and your files.

If you have several partitions on your disk, then the first on which Windows is installed is, you can delete and create a new one in its place, and leave the second with your files as it is.

5.2. Disk configuration on a new computer

When installing on a new computer, your disc is absolutely empty and has no partitions. The optimal option will create two partitions - one small volume for the operating system and programs, the second to all remaining space for your files. This disk configuration will be more convenient and more reliable in the backup and restore operating system and your files.

5.3. Configuration with two discs

If you have two hard drives, or one SSD and one regular disk, then it is advisable on each of them to create one partition and install Windows 7 to the one that is faster (SSD) or less by volume, and the second is fully added to the storage of your files .

If both disks are large, then on the first one you can create two partitions - one small for the system, one for storing your files. On the second disk you can create a partition on the entire volume and use it to install programs and games, or also create two sections - the first for programs and games, the second for files. This configuration will ensure the maximum speed of downloading programs and games, as Windows and the paging file will be on one disk, and programs and games on the other.

6. Disc setup for Windows 7

On the screenshot below the computer with a disk of 500 GB.

Do not be surprised that the real size is 465.7 GB. Manufacturers are rounded the size of hard drives to a larger round. A table with real dimensions of hard drives can be downloaded at the end of the article in the "" section.

SSD Disc It is better not to divide into several sections, but to completely give under the "C" disk to install Windows, programs and games. Then you will receive an unsurpassed computer speed!

Hard Drive A-Data Ultimate SU650 120GB

Click on the inscription "Disk Setup" and additional buttons will appear.

The optimal size of the system partition is 10-20% of the total rigid disk. For Windows 7, I recommend the size of the section of at least 40 and no more than 200 GB.

I usually take 10% of the declared disk volume, that is, 50 GB from a 500 GB disk and 100 GB from a disk per 1000 GB. Since this is enough to install basic programs, and the games are better to install on the second section along with the other files, as they occupy a large volume and make it difficult backup and restoring the system, which we will talk later.

But if you like to experiment and plan to establish many serious programs and games, it is better to make a systemic section more, about 20% of the disc capacitance or 100-200 GB in physical terms. Since all the same part of the data falls on the system section and in the future there may be a lack of space on it.

Let's have everything for sure, create a system section of 100 GB. To do this, click the "Create" button and enter the size in megabytes.

Note that 1 GB \u003d 1024 MB. In addition, Windows 7 takes out of this volume of 100 MB to create a hidden boot partition.

I love everything to be beautiful and the system of 100 GB is displayed in the system, and not 97.6 GB, so I calculate the volume in megabytes as follows:

100 GB x 1024 + 100 MB \u003d 102 500 MB

This digit and you need to enter in the "Size" field and click the "Apply" button.

Here is the result of a performed operation.

As you can see, two sections were created. "Section 1" size of only 100 MB is used to booter operating system and we will not see it in Windows. "Section 2" has the size of exactly 100 GB and we will install Windows 7 on it.

There is still "unoccupied place ..." with a volume of 365.6 GB, on which we will create another partition to store user files.

By default, the remaining place is assigned to it. It can be divided into several sections if you know what you need it. But we will leave everything as it is, simply by clicking the "Apply" button.

As a result, we get "Section 3", which took all the remaining space. Now you need to click the "Format" button and confirm this action.

You can create this section after installing Windows, but the actions will have to produce more and it is possible to change the letters of disks. We also consider this option after installing Windows.

7. Marking nuances and large-volume discs

The hidden loading section of 100 MB is created subject to the creation of a new partition. If you install Windows 7 to an existing partition, the bootloader files will be located on it and the separate section will not be created.

This configuration will be in case the Windows 7 installer will mark the disk markup in the old MBR system. If the Windows Installer performs disk markup in new system GPT, then several service partitions can be created.

MBR is an old type of markup that supports discs of up to 2 TB. GPT is a new type of marking that supports wheels with a volume of over 2 TB and requires support from the motherboard.

With disks marked in the MBR, it is usually less problems, but it is not fundamentally. If you install Windows 7 to a 3 TB disc and more, then it is necessary that it will mark the GPT mark, otherwise it will be used not all of its volume (about 2.3 TB).

The problem is that the Windows 7 installer does not always place big discs in marking GPT., even with the support of the motherboard. In this case, check that in the BIOS settings of your motherboard or laptop in the "Boot" section ("Download" in the priority of the UEFI bootable devices.

In the modern graphical interface of the SETUP program, the motherboard may look like this.

Write this folder on the USB flash drive and insert it before turning on the computer to install Windows. In this case, the Windows 7 distribution can be located both on the installation DVD and on this flash drive.

When you come to the hard disk selection window in which it is not displayed, click on the "Load" button and specify the location of the driver files (folder on the flash drive).

If the driver comes, the installer must detect your hard drive and it appears in the disk selection window for installation. After that, on the disk you can create partitions and install Windows on them.

9. Copying and unpacking files

Now select "Section 2" of 100 GB, which we install Windows 7 and click "Next".

Starts copying and unpacking files that will take some time.

Sometimes this process can dwell on 0% or in any other place for a while, and then quickly end. Show patience and do not touch the computer. You may need to be needed 15-30 minutes. If, after 30 minutes of waiting, nothing happens, then most likely the computer is hung or the installation disk is poorly read. We will have to start everything first and when repeated hangs, it is possible to replace the installation disk. Also, the problem may be caused by failures in hard work Disk, RAM or motherboard.

After copying and unpacking files, the computer will restart several times and the installation process will continue that requires the user's participation.

I remind you that when the inscriptions "Press Any Key to Boot from CD or DVD ..." appears, it is already unnecessary.

10. Setting up Windows 7 parameters

Setting up Windows 7 parameters starts with the user's input.

10.1. Enter the user name and computer

In the next window, you need to enter the name of the main user, which will be the computer administrator and the computer name on the network.

I recommend entering the name of English letters without spaces, since the same name will have a user profile folder into which the program and games settings can be saved. And some, even modern, programs and games cannot save files in folders with Russian names.

Names can have capital letters and numbers, and switching the input language is performed by the "ALT-SHIFT" key combination.

As for the name of the computer, then my recommendations are the same, but in the title you can use a hyphen (minus sign). For example, for the main home Computer, You can give the name PC-1, PK-1 or HOME-1, for the second computer - PC-2, PK-2 or HOME-2, for a laptop - HP, Acer, Samsung, and the like. If you have several laptops at home, then you can add a username, for example, Notebook-Vera or Misha-PC to the computer name. So it will be easier for you to focus, but in principle it does not matter and the computer name can always be changed. Also note that the username and computer should not match.

10.2. Password entry

In the next window, you are invited to enter a user password whose name is entered in the previous window, as well as a hint to this password in case you forget it.

I recommend not entering the password at this step, since in the process of configuration of the computer, it will reboot more than once and you simply go to enter it. Do it better after full setting Computer and backup system system. In principle, if no one will use the computer besides you, you have nothing to hide and you do not plan to exchange files by local networkThe password can not be used at all. In other cases, the use of the password is extremely desirable and we will talk about it in one of the articles about setup Windows. Now just click "Next".

10.3. Enter key and activation of Windows 7

In the next window, you are invited to enter the Windows 7 license key.

If you have officially purchased the operating system and are confident that this key was not used on another computer, then enter a 25-digit code specified on the disk or a certificate sticker. Tick \u200b\u200b"Automatically activate Windows when connected to the Internet" in this case, you can leave and press "Next". Activation will occur 3 days after the first login.

If you have no licensed key Or you install Windows 7 with a trial purpose, I do not enter anything. A tick automatic activation in this case, you need to remove and click the "Next" button. After installation, you are activated trial period for 30 days. In the future, you can extend it 3 times, thereby increasing the time of familiarization with the operating system up to 120 days.

10.4. Setting up Windows 7 updates

In the next window, you need to select one of the three installation modes. windows updates.

"Use Recommended Parameters" - All important and recommended updates will automatically be installed. Important include security updates and error correction. Recommended - update drivers, software components and much more. Most experts advise using this mode.

"Install only the most important updates" - will automatically be installed only for security updates and error correction.

"Delay the decision" - do not include automatic update, And configure it later in the operating system.

From myself I want to say that if the protection of your data is important for you and you do not know how to protect yourself from security threats on the Internet, then important updates are necessary. On the other hand, multiple updates over time lead to a slowdown in the computer, and together with the recommended updates to the operating system is set. a large number of unnecessary components. If you are using a computer mainly for games, you have well configured security, there is a backup copy of the system and all personal files, in principle you can do without updates and the computer will work as quickly as possible. But still I recommend setting at least the most important updates.

10.5. Setting up dates and time

In the next step, it is proposed to choose a time zone, date and time.

There is nothing complicated in this and although it can be configured after installing the system, it is better to do it immediately. First you need to set the time zone, and only after that time. If your settlement is not in the list of time zones, then you will choose any other one with you in the same time zone, for example, for Kiev time zone UTC +02: 00 as in Athens.

If you live in Russia, then remove the tick " Automatic translation For summer time and back, "since in Russia the translation of time is canceled. In other cases, follow the issues accepted in your country. For example, in Ukraine, the translation of time is still valid and the checkbox must be left. Computer clock will be translated automatically in opening time and day. Click "Next".

10.6. Computer location location

If your computer is connected to the network and when installing Windows, you managed to install necessary driver for network cardThe "Select the current location of the computer will appear.

"Home Network" - Choose this item if a computer or laptop is now at home, connected to the Internet via a router, and you want to share files with other home computers.

"Working network" - Choose this item if a computer or laptop is now at your work, where there are computer network To exchange files with other working computers.

"Public Network" - Choose this item if a computer or laptop is connected to the Internet Cable directly. In this case, additional protection against attacks from the Internet will be involved.

10.7. Home Group

This functionality appeared in Windows 7 to simplify the file sharing between home computers, but in principle is not necessary. You need to put ticks to folders with what data types you want to provide access. You can also enable sharing to the printer connected to this computer. You can put all the ticks, it will not harm you.

If a computer with Windows 7 or higher is discovered in the network, then you will be offered to enter a domestic group password that can be viewed on that computer. After entering the password, click "Next". If you do not have a lot of time, you can not enter the password and click the "Skip" button, and enter the password later.

If a home Group It was not discovered, it will be created on this computer and you will be given a random password. It can be recorded, but you can see later in Windows at any time. But it is better to write down or photograph and click the Next button.

11. Login

After that, an automatic user login to the system should occur and the main windows screencalled "desktop". On this installation of Windows 7 completed.

At some point, the operating system has to be changed. Perhaps one of you, dear readers, finally decided to switch to a fastest Windows 8 or an unexpected crash OS occurred. In any case, if you do not know how to run a disk with Windows through the BIOS, then this article will become invaluable help when solving this kind of difficulty.

Basic I / O System - everything starts from here

To install the operating system, it is necessary to use some BIOS microsystem settings. In particular, it is required to set a priority loader, in our case there will be a drive for optical CD / DVD Discs.

However, for a start, we need to get into the BIOS program interface. In view of the various basic microsystems, the main manufacturers of which are three leading companies - American Megatrends, Inc. (AMI), Award Software and Phoenix Technologies, - A special method of entry into the BIOS workspace may be provided.

The most common access scheme is the use of the "Delite" and "F2" keys. At the time of starting the computer, you need several times (with one press in half a second) to use the service key to enter the PC control interface (if you have a laptop, then you should draw your attention to the article that is ).

We assign CD / DVD a priority loader drive

It makes sense to consider the aforementioned BIOS versions separately. Rather, on the example of each of them, we will show where you need to go and what needs to be done in a certain place of the BIOS microsystem. As a result, you will be understood by the algorithm, according to which the purpose is performed specific device priority loader.

How to run a disk with windows via ami bios

  • Using the Right / Left keys, open the Boot tab.
  • Press the "ENTER" button at the first paragraph " Boot Device. Priority. "

  • In the first position it is necessary to put the drive for optical disks - Being at the first point, using the "ENTER" key, call the download device selection menu.
  • Set the "CD-ROM".

  • Go through the "EXIT" tab and use the "EXIT & SAVE CHANGES" item.

  • Confirm your intentions to save the tincture by pressing the "OK" key.

Select boot from the drive in Award and Phoenix BIOS

  • Select the "First Boot Device" item and press the "ENTER" button.

  • Select from the list of CDROM loading devices and press "ENTER" again.

  • Enter the "F10" key and confirm your consent to change settings.

Quick Launch Menu

Literally in all bios systems, the so-called "Boot Menu" is provided, in which you can get at the initial stage of the OS load. From the material read above, you learned that the versions of the basic microsystems are different, and therefore the login scenario to the fast loading menu for each manufacturer computer equipment Maybe varies. And in laptops for such purposes, a special remote button is sometimes implemented (Read ).

As a rule, to call "Boot Menu" you need to intensively press the "F12" or "ESC" key during the passage of the computer system of the initialization process (POST equipment check). In other cases, it is possible that the manufacturer applied another keyboard access scheme (more details about this moment described ).

In conclusion

So now for you is not a secret, how to run a disk with Windows via BIOS. Without difficult work, you can repeat all the above in practice yourself. However, do not forget that the Windows disk with a distribution, first of all, should be bootable. However, if you still do not work, you decided to use the usual flash drive, then read the recommendations from . Good loading to you!

Each user sooner or later faces the need to install the operating system. There is a myth that it is difficult to do it yourself, although in fact it is not. All that is needed is to have the basic PC user skills and follow simple instructionswill be discussed below.

Before installing

There are a number of moments that should be taken care of the start of installation.

To make it right, first of all note the following:

  • select the desired version of the operating system;
  • decide with its discharge;
  • prepare hard disk to install;
  • take care of the drivers.

If you read this article, with the choice of version of the OS problems it will not arise - it will be Windows 7. But what about its discharge? How to find out what exactly suitable for your PC?

You may encounter two types of systems:

  • x86 (32bit);
  • x64 (64bit).

What are their differences? 32-bit is supported up to 4 GB of RAM, and 64-x - from 4 GB and more. The performance of the 64-bit system is higher, so if specifications Your PC is allowed to choose to choose it. Determine the amount of computer's RAM is very simple - it is enough to click the right mouse button on the computer icon on the desktop and the desired technical data will be displayed in the window that appears.

Important! It is necessary to consider that after selecting one or another bit, in the future, the installed programs must be optimized precisely under it.

Now you need to think about where the new operating system will be installed. Most often, the C disk is selected for this. It should be remembered that all the data on the disk (including the desktop!) Will be permanently removed. All important files must be transferred to another drive or copied to the flash drive.

Another important point is drivers. Most often, they are complete to equipment on special disks, but if not - download them from the Internet in advance. To find required drivers You can on the official sites of video manufacturers, network cards and other PC components. Why should you take care of this in advance? Because after installation, without the driver for a network card, this will not be possible.

Creating a disc

To start the installation process, you need a disk with Windows 7. If you have availability, you can safely go to the next step. If it is absent, then you will have to create it first. You will need an image of the operating system, as well as a program for recording. It is best to give your preference "clean" MSDN assemblies that were not strongly modified. Recording from the image is no different from working with a regular disk. This can be done, for example, the Ultraiso program.

For this you need:

Installing Windows 7 from a disk via bios

Go to the main process. It begins with work with BIOS - base system I / O It is the installation through BIOS that so scares novice users, but there is nothing difficult in handling. For our task, you will need to perform only a few basic manipulations.

BIOS setup

First you need to get to the BIOS:

Process itself

After restarting the system will start the inserted disk and the direct installation process will begin:

Note! If you want to install Windows 7 from a formatting disk, then take care of the preservation of data that may be lost during this procedure.

Installation will begin, usually occupying from 15 minutes before half an hour. After completion, the system will offer to enter the username and password (optional), as well as install the phrase-tip to restore them. Further will be prompted to enter serial numberwhich is usually located in a box with a copy of the OS. If it is missing or assembly does it automatically, skip this step.

Ahead of a few more small steps:

  • indicate "Recommended" security settings;
  • your time zone;
  • type of network.

This installation completes and the system is almost ready for use, it remains only to configure it.

System Setup

First of all, you need to activate the operating system (if it does not automatically happen during the installation process). Do not forget about it, because after 30 days, rapid reminders will begin to appear reporting on the expiration of the registration period.

How to check whether Windows is activated:

Drivers and programs

The next most important step is to install drivers. Their absence can lead to incorrect display of graphics, incorrect operation of the computer and the impossibility of connecting to the Internet. How to determine which drivers does the system need?

Often Windows 7 installs the driver for the video adapter, so it will not be in the list as unidentified. Despite this, the driver for the video card is still needed, because without it it will not work at full power (which may be noticeable for not quite correctly displaying icons on the desktop). We install it from the disk of the manufacturer or downloaded in advance from the official site.

Important! Do not forget to install the driver for a network adapter, because without it, access to the network will be possible.

It is worth noting that all such programs are quite effective and capable of securing your system. For the greatest efficiency from time to time it is worth changing the used antivirus. After installing it, do not forget to activate and update to get latest versions Databases capable of protecting from recent threats.

Now you can start installing the browser. Its choice also depends entirely on the personal preferences of the user. When new search engine Installed, first update Flash Player, because without it it will be impossible to watch video or listen to music on a variety of resources. This can be done in a matter of seconds on the official website.

Using a freshly installed browser, start filling the system with new programs, without any system without any:

  • office applications ( Microsoft Office., OpenOffice);
  • archivers (WinRar, 7-Zip);
  • programs for listening to music and watch video;
  • useful utilities (CCleaner);
  • applications for communication (Skype, MUMBLE);
  • other software you need.

Installing any operating system is a matter that requires a solid and attentive approach. Despite this, you should not be afraid. Just follow the simple instructions, and quite soon your PC will boast a new OS.

In this article, you will learn how to reinstall Windows 7 on yourself. The material is designed for users who will install Windows on a computer or a laptop for the first time. It would be scary that it did not sound, reinstall Windows is very simple. In windows times 95 and 98 inexperienced person The procedure for reinstalling the operating system could be introduced by a mystical rite. The person who was invited to do this - necessarily gone by a programmer, and was considered a guru in the computer region.

For their part, such a guru, feeding the price, in every way fought their clients with terrible computer terms and stories about viruses and burnt computers. In this manual, you will make sure that this is not at all and that installing or reinstalling Windows on your laptop or computer is very simple and available for almost any person who can use the computer mouse.

I will do a not greater reservation. This article will tell you how to install Windows 7 yourself using a DVD disk. If there is no on your computer or laptop DVD driveYou will need to install Windows from a USB flash drive or from a memory card, I will tell about it in another lesson.

Before you begin to reinstall Windows, read the entire article to the end, and if you have a printer, print it.

Reinstalling Windows 7 consists of several stages:

  1. Preparing a computer to installing Windows 7;
  2. Preparation of the installation disk with Windows 7;
  3. Setting BIOS Computer to download from a DVD disk;
  4. Installing Windows 7;

Now go through all the steps in detail.

1. Preparation for installing Windows 7

Before reinstalling Windows, you need to carry out small preparation.

First you need to copy all valuable information from the C disk. Of course, you know, but still I will tell you where to look. Places where on the disk "C:" may be yours helpful information Not so much, usually this is the desktop and "My Documents". It is still worth looking into the root of the disk "C:" Sometimes people in a hurry or just for not knowing, save files there. Copy all the files you need to another disk (for example, "D:"), DVD disc or flash drive.

For the future, keep in mind that it is best to store information not on the same section of the disk on which the system is installed, and, of course, create backup copies.

If you just purchased a computer or confident that there is no valuable information in it, you can naturally not bother

Another point that should be foreseen before installing Windows, it is drivers for a network card. If after installation it turns out that in your WINDOVS distribution, there were no drivers for your network card, or they are not correctly installed for any reason, then you will find yourself without drivers and without the Internet. Therefore, download in advance fresh Driversat least for a network card.

2. Preparing the installation disk with Windows 7

Those who already have an installation disk with Windows 7, you can skip this item. If you have no such disk, you need to write it or purchase it. Those who want to download windows on the Internet, look for clean MSDN assembly.

By this you will protect yourself from possible errors In the operation of the installed system.

Installation discs with Windows 7 on the Internet, as a rule, distributed in the form of disk images in the ".iso" format. Where to download to speak will not be because It is not entirely legal to promote their spread. I can advise before downloading the image, read comments on the release, problem disks are usually quickly detected as a heap of angry reviews.

At this stage, it is worth identifying which version of Windows 7 to install on your computer, 32-bit or 64-bit. I won't go into details, since this topic can be written separate item. I will only say that a 64-bit system can work, with all the amount of RAM, when as a 32-bit maximum uses, only about 3.25 GB. At the same time, the 64-bit system due to the 64-bit addresses to the addresses requires more memory when working. This increases the memory capacity occupied by applications.

Also, in favor of the 64-bit system, it is worth considering that when using 64-bit applications there will be a fairly good increase in their performance.

Conclusion: 64-bit system must be used if the amount of operational memory in your computer is 4 or more gigabytes, which in principle for modern computer Already becoming the norm.

After the image of the downloads need to be recorded on the DVD disk, and you can start setting.

3. Setting up a computer BIOS to boot from a DVD disk

For installation windows, just insert a DVD disk into the drive, you need to still make a computer when you turn on starting to load from this disk. This is done in the BIOS. BIOS is almost in any computer or laptop, it stores all important settings, one of these settings is the order of loading devices. This setting is at the moment and interests.

In order to get into the BIOS you need to press immediately when you turn on the computer certain key on keyboard. Usually when loading on the screen it is written, what exactly needs to be pressing to get into menu Bios.. Most often it is a DELETE, ESC key, or F2. About what you entered you find out when you see the BIOS menu.

Most often there are options:

If the attempt was unsuccessful, then overload the computer and try again. Below are tables with possible entry options in the BIOS.

After you went to the BIOS, you need to find the option responsible for the procedure for loading devices. As a rule, these settings need to be signed in the menu, in the title of which the word BOOT is present, of course there are other options, but as they say - "who is looking for, will always find."

To facilitate the search, I will give a few examples, as it looks alive:

The selection of the device loaded first usually takes place using the arrow keys on the keyboard, but there are other ways to navigate the BIOS menu, so if it does not work out, you can see the help that is usually in the BIOS in sight.

Choose your CD / DVD drive as the first boot device and leave the BIOS while saving all changes. To do this, use the Save and Exit Setup item. There will be a reboot of the computer and we, thus, got close to the next step, for which everything was actually stood.

4 Installing Windows 7

If the disc is recorded correctly and in the BIOS settings are set up, right, we will see such an inscription Press Any Key to Boot from CD or DVD, which means press any key to download from CD or DVD.

It looks like this:

Press any key

If you did not appear such an inscription, then it is possible from the above written you did wrong. In this case, check the BIOS once again, whether the download setting from the DVD is preserved if everything is installed in the BIOS correctly, then most likely your disk is not bootable and you will have to look for another installation disk or download another image of Windows. 7.

In this place I will make a small reservation. You can get caught installation windows disk 7, where, in addition to the windows itself, more additional utilities are recorded, in which case you need to select the desired item in the menu. It should also be noted that in some disks, most of the operations described below will be automatically, without your participation. You should not worry about this, all these settings can be changed if desired after the installation of Windows is completed.

To start installation, click "Set"

Before you get a choice which version of Windows install. You need to choose the one from which you have a key. If you have a laptop, then often a key sticker and an indication of the version of Windows is glued onto the bottom. The key itself will be required at the end of the installation. In principle, it can not be introduced immediately, but within 30 days.

Agree with the license condition and click "Next"

Choose a complete installation.

Choose a section in which Windows 7 will be installed and click "Customize Disk"

In this place, an inexperienced person may have questions, so consider it in more detail.

Setting the hard disk

Often on your computer's hard disk except sections that you know (such as C: D: E: etc.) there may be another or more hidden partitions. This is especially true of laptops that were sold with the already installed operating system. The manufacturer makes such sections in order to have the ability to restore the system and bring the laptop to its factory settings.

Also often occurs a hidden section of the size of 100MB, it creates Windows 7 itself. This section is used to implement the BitLocker function, this function is designed to encrypt the system partition. So in this section there is a program that, when loading, will decline the encrypted system partition. From this section, if you wish, you can get rid of the hard disk of your computer in advance to installing Windows 7. This is best to use special programs, such as Acronis Disc Director.

Let's return to the installation.

Click "Disc Setting" and "Format"

The installer will warn you that all data from this section will be deleted, but it is not scary to us, because we prepared for this and did in advance backup All the information we need, so we breeively agree by clicking the "OK" button.

After the formatting, click "Next"

We are waiting until the installation

After installation, you will be prompted to enter the username and computer.

We enter the key, it can be glued to a laptop from below, or as a sticker on the system unit.

Install the security mode

Set the date time and time zone

If the computer has network connection And in the system there was a driver for your network card, Windows will prompt you to choose the type of connection

On this installation of Windows 7 is completed, and you can go to the installation of the drivers and the programs you need.

Finally, do not forget to return bIOS settingswe changed in paragraph 3. Our leadership. You must set your hard disk in the BIOS by the first boot device, otherwise, with each start, the computer will try to start loading with DVD.
